2009 Boyou Grade 7 Brick" Ripe Pu-erh tea (of Menghai)

Pu-erh Tea by Boyou Tea Factory

2009 Boyou “Grade 7 Brick” Ripe Pu-erh tea of Menghai

This is a tea brick pressed in 2009 but made from high grade ripe tea fermented in October 2007. The tea cake is an average of Grade 6 material, but also contains 3rd and 5th grade material, all aged as loose tea in Menghai since early 2007. The tea is smooth and sweet with a deep red wine liquor. If you are looking for a ripe Menghai tea cake for near to long-term aging this is a great choice. Blows a similarly priced Da Yi ripe tea out of the water in terms of taste and quality! Each brick come individually wrapped in bamboo leaf!
Boyou tea factory was started by yet another ex-Menghai tea blender. Boyou is well known for showcasing Menghai tea mountains and making Ripe Pu-erhs that rival Da Yi ripe teas

this tea was my first puerh, and when it arrived today, I opened the bamboo leaf and was attacked by the wonderful aroma. It smells like sweet iced tea, but I haven’t really tasted it yet, because the brew is incredibly hot, and the liquors color is similar to a reddish coffee. I would most definitetley buy more.
