Backlogging – I enjoyed this yesterday as well as this morning. Steepster has not made it easy these last few days. Frustrating, yes, but I love this site so much that I cannot give up on it!

This tea is AWESOME! Perhaps the nicest Nilgiri tea I’ve ever had. It is a bit lighter than most Nilgiri teas – it is still assertive but not quite as bold or as malty as other Nilgiri teas, but what it lacks in those areas it more than makes up for in a sweet, delicious toasted walnut flavor. Wow! It’s really quite amazing.

A lovely straight forward Indian tea! There is not a ton of complexity here but it is very good quality! There is a nice difference here between your typical Indian Black so you should give it a try – especially if you love Indian black teas!
This one has a nice twang note within it – plucky like.
Slight black pepper flavor as well but very subtle and could easily be missed!

Liberteas sent me some of this! Thanks so much! You know I like a black tea in the morning! This ‘brews up’ pretty dark and I’m not sure why but I’m smelling a very VERY faint hint of maple to-the-nose. It’s quite nice!

Taste-wise this tea doesn’t take you on a roller coaster ride – it’s a nice even-steven medium strength black tea from start to finish. It’s slightly sweet and has a subtle/mellowy-malt to it. Right in the middle of the sip a hint-of-walnut taste pops in to say hello!

Yum! This is tasty!

This was the tea I chose to make this morning. It’s a nice tea, easy to drink, but just not strong enough for me. Maybe I’ll try steeping it longer next time, but I’ll also keep some lemon peel handy.

Another Indian tea that I like. I am definitely sensing a pattern here.

I can taste the toasted walnut flavor and the black base is strong, with just a hint of bitter. The bitter becomes more pronounced as the tea cools.

I will be getting more of this but I’ll either drink it only hot or experiment with steeping times to see about cutting the bitter when cool.

Okay so I steeped for less time than previously. Very nice. Definitely assertive. I don’t notice as much astringency as before so perhaps I got the time down for this one finally. :) It’s almost a little peaty, which is good.

Straight forward and consistent. It’s like a good book or a best friend that you can turn to in crisis… not the kind of friend you party with, but the old, reliable kind that just gets better with every sip. Better sweetened, and a fairly fruity aroma which is unusual for a black tea… slightly astringent, but not unpleasantly so. The kind of tea to have on hand at all times as it’s so reliable and economical. A pleaser for sure!
