Recommended Brew Time: 6 minutes
Recommended Amount: 1 1/2 teaspoons of guayusa for 8oz of water

Well this certainly has a kick! I like how the lemon plays nicely with the guayusa. I wasn’t a fan in the first few sips, but as I kept drinking it the lemon and a touch of creaminess came out more. Also, the lemon flavor is distinctly lemon and not just generically citrus, which is nice.

This is definitely the most enjoyable Butiki guayusa I’ve had to date. The lemon really complements the base. And seriously the caffeine kick is fantastic. Still, it doesn’t completely bowl me over and I’m starting to think that I just might not like the base tea all that much.

Thanks to Stacy at Butiki for the sample, and I get to call this a sipdown!

1 tbsp for 245 ml

Woodsy warming flavour. Eucalyptus-like spice balanced with lemon flavour. Lychee note in the aroma and flavour. I’m not detecting any creaminess but that may be because there was flavour lost in transit.

Reminds me of a spa sauna.

Thanks to Kittenna for sharing with me!

WHOA! hah! This came as a sample with my Butiki order, and I smelled this tea before I even opened the box. Holy citrus :)

I honestly had no idea what guayasa was so I did a little bit of research as I sipped this. Wow. This packs quite a punch. Citrusy and strong it really wakes you up. I probably would have never bought this before but now I think I have to place a second order and this is only my first sample :(

Gaaaah, I really like guayusa.

This was a great morning tea. The lemon flavor isn’t too sharp, there’s a nice creamy taste and a fantastic earthy guayusa taste, too. It’s a great blend, I am finding that these guayusa blends from Butiki are some of my favorites.

I wanted to try this one cold, but I enjoyed it too much to wait. Sadly, this was one of the samples Stacy included in our order (and I would like to note that she sent us 4 different samples, and because she knew it was an order for two people, we got 2 of each. So we got a total of 8 samples! AMAZING!) and there was only enough for one cup. I think I need more.

I love lemon and this is has so much lemony goodness going on in the cup I love it! This is the first tea I’ve had where I really like the aftertaste. It tastes like a delicious lemon pastry. Pefect way to start my morning. :-)

I just got this in the mail today! I’m not normally a fan of fruity teas, but this one is nice. It literally brought a smile to my face as I was drinking it. It tastes like sunshine in a cup! I love the creaminess mixed with the notes of citrus. I approve!

Tea and Trees

I forgot to mention, my husband opened up my tin and told me it smells like cleaning solution. Needless to say, that put a slight damper on my experience. However, it doesn’t taste like cleaning solution so we’re good!

My husband always says the most ridiculous things about tea too, LOL!

Thank you Bonnie for this Sample

I woke up early.
I needed a good kickstart to the weekend.
I needed caffeine.
I have tried Guayusa previously and enjoy the buzz.

I got laundry done.
I cleaned up my rooms (I was sick this week, so the place was a mess)
I did a pile of paperwork!
I spent time with my son.
I had a crash, and took a light nap.

Guayusa is great. It reminds me of Adderall for ADHD.
Will keep you focused.
Great name, Good Morning Sunshine.
Must get some more.

I used a tea baggie and added water.
No milk, cream, sugar, honey needed.

Thanks again, Bonnie

Bonnie

Oh No not adderall! The stupid Doctors in California gave that to me before they diagnosed me with migraines. The dumb guys! Didn’t want it! This is a good pick me up though. I like the other flavors too…nice energy, no artifical flavors and no jitters.

This was my last flavored tea sampler from the new customer promo Butiki Teas had (Thanks Stacy). This one is really nice. I had never had guayusa before. It does remind me of mate somewhat, but less earthy. The flavor blend is very nice as well. I can’t wait to try the Tangerine Creamsicle guayusa I got on my most recent order!

Finally got a chance to try this out.

1st smell: lightly citrus-y. creamy.
1st taste: same.

Well I do like this better than the Apricot. I also had a mild like for The Killer’s Vanilla. Before trying these 3, I’ve had no experience Guayusa so it could be that I am just not used to the taste. As mentioned before, being a fan of Teavana teas and their tendency to flavor blast may have injured my palate a bit. It’s ok though:) I’m thinking of pairing some of them with other teas, like this one with some kind of stronger orange tea, though heavier on this because I want them to meld, not let the orange take over. I would say lemony tea but I can be a little touchy about lemon in tea. I would also say lime, but…no the only lime teas I have are samples. Come to think of it…I don’t think I got enough in the Sunshine for more than 2 more cups, and probably won’t be able to buy more tea till after Christmas at the earliest.

Thanks Stephanie. I can see this as my go to tea for relaxation. I will have to try it as a ‘wake up’ tea. Since I am also an avid coffee drinker, my morning tea is usually black. I love the combination of citrus and Guayusa base.
