Almond Cream Biscotti
Almonds are referenced as far back as the Egyptian Pharaohs as having been used as a coveted ingredient in their bread and Cleopatra was even said to have bathed in almond milk. During Roman Times, almonds were bestowed to newlyweds as a sign of charmed fertility and almond trees were planted during the explorer’s travels along the “Silk Road” between Asia and the Mediterranean Sea.
Today, we celebrate the almond in this black tea infusion with sweet slivered almonds and natural nut cream. The result is a smooth and creamy tea that is rich in nutty flavor and aroma. This tea may be enjoyed any time of the day, but is especially pleasant in the evening with a touch of milk and sugar added.
