TTB #7

My husband and I had a friend over this evening so instead of a couple of greens and whites from the Traveling Box that I planned to have, I had a bunch of craft beer. Oh well!

Now I am having this Yoga Tea, which is probably the only herbal in the entire TT Box :D That’s what I needed though.

It’s very soothing, pleasantly tasting herbal. I detect ginger and licorice… It also smells like fresh leather sandals. I don’t mean it in a bad way (I think). Herbal blends (non-rooibos ones), however, have a tendency to taste the same… It’s always good to have one of these in your cupboard. But it could be ANY one.

It doesn’t make me want to do yoga either. Definitely not right now.

Thanks for your review! I hope you’re able to try more of our teas soon. Happy Brewing!

T&C Box 5/18

This one smells wonderful dry—such a kick of ginger and clove with some green herbal notes underneath. As it brews I notice more of the cinnamon, too. Is this technically a chai? I don’t really know how the classification there works but it seems like one.

The taste of this is great. It’s spicy without being too hot and sweet without being overpowering. I expected this to be much spicier and more overwhelming, but it’s actually very soothing.

In other news I’m kind of in love with my kettle. No more guessing! I’ve brewed only perfect cups of tea with it so far. Obviously this means it’s foolproof. ;)

Sweet, spicy, and warming. Purchased it on a rainy day in Dupont circle, wandering around to escape the sudden pre-summer chill after work… I loved it so much I took some home with me! Delish – strong taste of cinnamon and ginger, but with a mild sweetness that remains with you long after you finish your cup.

Steeped about 9min, since the slider doesn’t go that far.

This one smells like a chai, looks a bit like a chai…but it doesn’t quite taste like one. It’s peppery and hot, but the spice seems a little one-dimensional and didn’t make a real impression on me. Overall I’d have to say that this one comes across as being rather harsh and unpleasant.

Not one I’d drink again, sadly.
