Great chai that is caffeine-free. My daughter and I get it all the time.

I remember enjoying the box of this I finished a few years ago and recently had the chance to grab this single bag to drink. It’s probably somewhat nostalgia, but I’m enjoying it! The spices are warming and pleasant. There’s a fair amount of sweetness, so I probably could have gotten away with not sweetening my cup. To be honest, I wouldn’t mind grabbing a box of this as a work tea sometime in the future. It’s a perfectly serviceable chai, honestly better than lots of more expensive ones I’ve had.

Because of Kiki I can’t see this tea without thinking of it as “that tiger tea”.

Took an evening ceramics class today. It’s held in a big warehouse in Oakland which is bound to get cold, so I bundled up, tossed this in a thermos of hot water and let it steep until the cinnamon was almost overbearing. Should have only used one bag. Because of masks and covid, any time I wanted to take some sips of this and burn my mouth until layers of my cheeks were peeling I had to step outside the class area to remove my mask and sip. Hard way to enjoy tea. The second night of the class is next week and I was so disappointed with the class that I’m going to skip the second night. It wasn’t the class I was expecting. At least I have this hot cup of sweet cinnamon to thaw me out. I legit like this tea, but I killed it with the two hour long steeping. ’Twas a night of let downs!

Ceramics classes are usually pretty fun I’m sorry it didn’t end up being a good one. I love taking ceramics classes/ or just painting some during Winter.

After following derk’s roommate’s advent reviews, this tea will henceforth always be “the Celestial tiger tea” in my head.

Dustin

I had signed up for a making molds for slip casting class that was canceled twice because of Covid and hadn’t been rescheduled, so I opted for a making multiples class which I expected to be a shortened version of the first. It was about how to use molds, not how to make them. If I had taken the other class first and had a mold of my own to cast, I’d have been into it. Choosing from generic bunny figure, pin up girl cup or bowl like molds was not my thing. I don’t care about them and I don’t want the end product in my house, so it’s hard to care about what color glaze I should use or touching up the flawed edges.

Celestial Tiger Tea makes it sound so magical! I like it!

I cannot express how much I love this tea… I love bold, rich masala chai flavours. I love how they smell so comforting and remind me of the holidays/Fall! :)

This tea just warms my whole heart when I drink it. And despite purchasing more expensive, loose leaf teas now, this one remains one of my all-time favorites.

It is extremely sweet naturally, despite not having any sugar in it because of the cinnamon. It smells like cinnamon and baked goods. I usually let it steep for a long time, like 7ish minutes. And it is divine!

I need to repurchase this again!

Y’all, you’re going to laugh: This is the best chai-like tea I have had in the last 10 years. I know it’s just a bunch of powder in a bag, but gosh darn it, it’s delicious powder in a bag. Bengal Spice has a wonderfully strong flavor that doesn’t get overpowered by adding creamer, and it’s sweet enough on its own that I don’t need to add sugar. I know Celestial Seasonings gets a bad rap, but no matter how many fancy chai-like teas I try, I always come back to this one.

I always have a box of this on hand. In the winter, when my house is in the low 50s as the heater groans to life in the morning, there is nothing like a pot of this to warm me up and wake me up. It takes honey and cream like a champ.

Doing a new review of this tea because frankly, my taste buds seem to have evolved in the past two months.

This tea is not as good as I previously rated it by far. I recently made a pure cinnamon infusion for medical reasons and this tastes approximately the same. Yes I like cinnamon and it isn’t horrible. But that is basically all there is to this. Just pure cinnamon. If there are other flavors I can’t taste them.

I’ll probably finish the box but I don’t think I will get any more. I’m certain I can find a better caffeine free chai out there if I look.

My aunt gave me an opened box of this to take home since it’s only 2 months from the Best By date. I’m a little bit of a scavenger by nature so I ain’t complainin’. She does this with wine, too, which doesn’t have a best by date. She just gives me all the red wine she receives as gifts that she doesn’t think she’ll like. Definitely not complainin’ about that one.

For being opened for who knows how long and so close to the Best By date, it’s still very potent. It’s mostly a drying cinnamon oil and clove spicy herbal tea with a decent chocolatey carob note and a hint of vanilla. Carob and caramel sweetness settle at the bottom of the mug for a nice ending. It’s warming and tasty enough to drink two cups in a row. I let the bag do its thing while I sip. Glad I can still find some joy in grocery store tea.

This is one of the few grocery store teas I still enjoy. I like it in vanilla almond milk, too.

derk

Oh man, I bet some fresh and creamy vanilla almond milk would be amazing. Too bad it’s so expensive. I’ll try it with the Blue Diamond stuff soon since I have some in the fridge.

derk

I’m actually on me third bag of the evening. It’s kind of addicting.

I used to love this tea, but have found since that it has far too much cinnamon. It’s a strange feeling, being a cinnamon lover. Perhaps I only like this tea after it has sat out for awhile and it’s potency is a little lower.

Chai to Stay Dry! Decided to do another bagged tea revisit. This one fit into my chai theme for the month, but is a decaffeinated chai, making it a nice pick for a Sunday evening when I have work in the morning. I remember enjoying this one a lot in my early tea-drinking days, but I also remember liking Stash’s Chai Black, and when I revisited that tea, I found it extremely clove-heavy and just too artificial-tasting in its spices. So I’ll admit, I was a bit worried I’d have that same experience all over again.

I made a big cuppa of this (with the teabags removed, loose-steeped in my gravity-well infuser, since I find the paper of the bags sometimes comes out in my bagged teas), and settled in to watch Twitch streams with my cuppa. And… this tea totally holds up! This may be only the third (or maybe fourth?) bagged tea I’ve revisited that I still really enjoy! It has a rich, spicy flavor, but there is a good balance to it. I get a burst of cinnamon at the front of the sip, with some cardamom and clove toward the finish. It’s a fairly strong and lingering spice, but the tea has a sweet vanilla flavor to the base that is just so pleasant. Because the spice in this blend does come off a bit strong for my personal tastes, I like adding a bit of sweetened vanilla almond milk, which accompanies the present vanilla flavor very nicely, but if I had a bag of this on the go, I would be fine taking this plain.

Vanilla Almond milk is the best! It’s definitely my favorite nut milk. Always nice to revisit a tea that still tastes just as good.

Mastress Alita

Most of my revisits of bagged teas I’ve found I just don’t like them anymore since “making the switch”, but there have been a few pleasant surprises!

And yes, I’m a huge Vanilla Almond Milk fan! It’s also my milk of choice. There are a few teas I like to use sweetenend coconut milk with, but the majority of the teas I add milk to, it’ll be vanilla almond milk! I like that it’s already sweetened and has a really creamy mouthfeel!

When I first tried this tea in 2017 I almost fell off the couch , who would of thought a bagged tea could be that good ? any tea for that matter. of course I had to call my sister right away and let he know about it. and now she’s more obsessed with it than me lol, and why am I just experiencing this tea now? its been around awhile, why isn’t any one talking about it? its seriously one of the best
