Candy Cane Lane

Green Tea by Celestial Seasonings

What could be better than the delectable taste of an old-fashioned candy cane? Candy Cane Lane is an irresistible blend of peppermint, creamy vanilla and a dash of cinnamon and sweet blackberry leaves. Best of all, it’s made with antioxidant-rich decaffeinated green tea, so you can enjoy health and flavor this holiday season.

This tastes like peppermint, the cinnamon and a touch of vanilla and green tea. This is pretty good balanced and sort of refreshing to. Merry christmas and happy holidays to all.

Backlogging had this earlier this morning. This I think is pretty good. minty with abit cinnamon and some vanilla and the decaf green tea. All goes together really well. And handy when you just want a teabag.

This is a good tea. Some good tasting peppermint with some vanilla is mainly what I taste. And I added some sugar.

I have been drinking a cup of this. a really good balanced in terms of flavor tea with a medium amount of peppermint and some vanilla. I added some sugar to. I can’t not have some sugar in my teas. This is a good tea.

One of these days I need to get all the teas I have added to my cupboard and drink more.

Backlogging.I had some yesterday evening. This is a good tea peppermint and I tasted some vanilla. I also added sugar.

Backlogging, this is really good and nice when you just want a tea bag that is decaf. I taste is a medium strength peppermint with some vanilla. I added some sugar. This is pretty good and is comforting to me and nice when I am feeling lazy and wan’t something quick.

After seeing all of the good reviews for this, I was happy to be able to find it in Target. I totally see what all of the fuss is about! It’s a lovely holiday tea with an incredibly attractive price tag. It doesn’t particularly remind me of a candy cane, but it’s very minty nonetheless and that’s enough to satisfy me. Vanilla is a secondary taste that makes a nice subtle addition, and as it steeps far past what is probably the recommended time, the cinnamon comes out more and more. This is labeled as a Christmas tea, but I’m sure I could enjoy it all year ’round!

The only complaint I have is that the peppermint reminds me of peppermint extract, including that weird bite it has. I’m not sure what could have been done to tone that effect down — less peppermint? more vanilla? a different method of flavoring? — but it can get annoying. A longer steep does help to bring out the other flavors and thus cover up the peppermint, but it could still be better.

I picked up a box of this after having seen so many people on steeptster talking about it. For a bagged tea, it is delicious. I’m getting both vanilla and mint in the sip, not just in the smell. It really does smell like a candy cane as well. I’m so happy! Flavor! Identifiable flavor! In my mouth! It is very exciting. I might just have to stock up on this. This would be a good evening tea. Mint just makes evenings right.

This is my tea for mid-afternoon (as opposed to my upcoming late afternoon/early evening tea). Creamy vanilla minty delicious green tea! I am so glad I saw all the swooning reviews on Steepster. I likely wouldn’t have gotten it otherwise.

Oh wow. I love this tea. Definitely minty with a full body behind it. The mint isn’t very sharp. I can hardly taste the green tea, but it’s got a nice complex flavor that almost has a bit of a smooth mouthfeel to it. Yum.

Just made a Candy Cane Lane White Russian. Took a Candy Cane Lane tea bag and steeped in good helping of vodka for approx 10 minutes. Poured over ice, added simple syrup and half and half.

Wow. That was amazing. :)

Yum.

I need something to get me through this business trip, and this is helping, a lot. I love how creamy and minty and just yummy this is.

Smell: Vanilla cookie and mint
Taste: Mint mainly. Reminds me of chocolate covered mint – like “After Eight”.
Overall impression: I like it.

I am obsessed with holiday teas right now, and last weekend I found three different ones by Celestial Seasonings. This one is delicious. I put the teabag in a big mug of boiling water and just leave it in there the whole time while I sip. Doesn’t need sugar or anything, it’s much nicer than basic peppermint.

I’ve been feeling very grumpy lately, and this is the only tea that I have been wanting. So much so that I’ve gone though a full box in less than a month.

The first time I tasted this, I really wanted it to be snowing. It seems like it would be perfect for that kind of day.

If you like candy canes, this tea will not disappoint you. I am not a fan of peppermint teas in general…it’s the extras that make this one. Just ask my husband. I pointed it out to him in the middle of the grocery store when he tried to get me the regular peppermint tea by Celestial thinking that they were the same thing. ;)

Just purchased this yesterday. It may be a bit too early to drink Christmas-themed tea (for some), but I certainly don’t regret purchasing this. It has a very, very calming aroma and a lovely taste. To my surprise, despite being green tea, it’s not the least bit bitter.

My boyfriend’s mom has a few boxes of this in her cupboard and I have to say it’s my favourite tea to have while I’m there. I’m not usually a fan of teas with mint in them (I’ve always thought it tasted like toothpaste water). This tea however I seem to love because of the other flavours, like vanilla (I’m a vanilla freak), that seem to tone down the minty taste.

This is why I love Steepster – I never would have tried this tea if I had not read the comments about it. I’ve passed it up year after year because the name did not appeal to me, but after reading the reviews I knew I had to try it. It is wonderful. Wonderful! Perfect for cooler nights. The fact that it’s decaf is a bonus (since actually sleeping instead of running around with a caffeine buzz is necessary at some point).

Still yummy. See previous tasting note.

My sister called me today to let me know that the grocery stores are stocking eggnog again. It’s October 5th. Wow.

So, to mark the beginning of the apparent holiday season, we had a pot of Candy Cane Lane, or as my niece calls it, Polar Bear Tea.

I adore this one, so much so that I stock up on boxes and keep them in my freezer so I can have it year-round. I know it’s not fancy, and my tea-granny friends tend to turn their noses up at bagged (gasp!) decaf (shock!) green teas, but I love the delicate vanilla-mint flavour and aroma here.

It’s good unsweetened, or with a bit of agave for a after-dinner treat. I also like it iced, with brown sugar for sweetness and to add a bit of a caramelly flavour.

Don’t be a snob, and give this one a try. And if you don’t like it, I will happily take your excess boxes for my freezer! ;-)

So yummy! I’m not a big mint person, but this tea is perfect. It has a nice mild flavor, rather than an in-your-face kind of mint. I re-steeped, and the second cup was just as good as the first. Tastes great with a little bit of chocolate flavored stevia. I went and bought three more boxes of this today.

This tea is even better prepared with a little bit of real vanilla extract and stevia.

Brewed, the smell reminds me of toasted marshmallows but with mint added.

The taste is nice. Sweet at first, then minty, then smooth vanilla. It’s tasty. :)

First week of fall like weather and I purchased this tea. It was a good thing too since I made a pot of chili that got a little spicy and I needed something to calm my stomach. This did the trick. I really like the mixture of the peppermint and vanilla as it gives the tea a smooth finish. This will be a great addition to a my fall cupboard.

I love this tea year round – it’s spicy and minty, aromatic and flavorful. I tend to stock up around the holidays so I can enjoy the tea throughout the year. These make great gift ideas too; I got my mom hooked last year.

Backlogging – enjoyed this after dinner/binge eating feast on Turkey Day. I love the simplicity of it – it’s green tea with minty flavors. I just let the bag steep for the length of the cup (which ended up being longer than usual as I kept “topping off” the mug). My mom has a box, but I’m going to have to load up with my own for the rest of the season! Yums!

This tea is great during the holidays – but still awesome any time of year. I love the minty flavor and sensation; the dose of vanilla is a nice touch as vanilla and mint is one of my fave combos. Thanks to Meghann M for parting with a few. :)

This tea really caught me off guard! I’ve had some pretty awful holiday-themed drinks, but they actually put some thought into this one! It’s incredibly complex, you get a little orange coming through, cinnamon, mint of course, but also vanilla and some other unique flavors that really make for a great wintery drink! You’ve got to try this one.

Even though I was expecting tea that tasted like a candy cane, I still enjoyed this. It’s a subtle-tasting and comforting green tea with a peppermint aftertaste.

Can’t make this one without everyone knowing.
Tastes of buttery mellow mintiness.
Turned a coworker onto this one, which is double badness since i don’t get back
to the US enough. :P
