This has been in my cupboard for quite some time and I think the flavors might have altered a bit. It smells pretty much like what I imagine a sugar plum might smell like. The taste is also the same. I read that people have been tasting the spice portion, but I get no cinnamon whatsoever. I’m thinking it might have to do with the tea being so old. A hint of cinnamon would have been a nice touch, but to me it tastes like some sort of dark fruit dipped in sugar. Very pleasant. :)

I stock up on this one! I never add sweetner to my teas so it’s nice to have a staple ‘sweet tea’ in the tea chest. I love a good strong brew and the cinnamon flavour comes out in spades in this tea with a nice undertone of plum. In the winter evenings it’s nice to brew with milk in a saucepan. I feel all warm and festive just thinking about this tea!

This tea is addictive. It’s the first tea I’ve ever considered buying in bulk so I don’t run out.

YUCK!! No one in my house who’s tried this has liked it (spanning 2 – 63 yrs). It was on sale and my daughter liked the fairies on the box, hands down its most redeeming quality.

My 4yo didn’t like it. Little too spicy for her. I find it a little too heavy on the cinnamon ( steeped 5min). But overall pleasant aroma. Def a winter night drink. May consider spiking one evening like a previous reviewer. Sounds delish!

I’m sad to see this rated so lowly. This was my gateway tea that took me from the bleak world of Lipton to the tasty world of flavorful tea. While it doesn’t seem as delicious now as it did when I first tried it, the cinnamon balances nicely with the other flavors and you can taste the plum. All in all it makes a nice low-effort cup on a chilly night.

This is a unique tea. I have yet to run across another like it. You can definitely taste the plum spice, so if you’re not a fan of spice teas, you probably won’t like this one very much. It’s not something I reach for every day, but when you just need something different, it fits the bill. I can definitely enjoy it without sweetener so that helps in my book.

Very appropriate for winter evenings, especially if there’s a book and a fleece throw involved. Purring cat optional.
Tastewise, the plum really doesn’t come through. It smells like it should, but the flavor disappoints just a bit. Nice cinnamon and cardamom, but a bit acidic for my taste. Could stand to be a bit richer. Still, a nice tea for the price and convenience.

Meh.

Mostly spice, not much plum. Disappointing body (too watery feeling in the mouth). It just feels like something is missing. Kept bringing the tea bag back for additional steep time but it just added more spice, never rounded out. Maybe I will try blending in more black tea next time.

Blech. Belch blech blech. Not good – its all spice, and no tea. Less steeping only results in less flavor overall. I think it’d be worth trying it in place of (or addition to) mulling spices in a nice full bodied red wine (with orange peel? and a bit of fruit brandy before serving? I’ll work on this…), but otherwise blech.

I think I had this a while ago (last year sometime), but I do remember liking it and thinking it was a good tea if you want something around Christmastime that is cheap.

Too fruity, not very potent. Ew.

Overwhelming cinnamon flavor (gum-esque) and the fruit flavor is not very distinctly plum-like. Adding sweetener to this was also a bad idea. If I’m going to have cinnamon tea, I’d rather have Stash’s apple cinnamon or Miro Tea’s cin gin mate. Giving this to Beth since she liked it.
