Cinnamon Apple Spice

I love all things fall, and this tea is pretty much the season in drinkable form! This is a strong tea, very fragrant, and may I add delicious?

Ugh. The taste was…okay at first, but the longer I left it in, the stronger it got. But not in that pleasant steep-for-a-long-time-to-let-the-flavor-intensify way. Just got really bitter and spicy toward the end to the point of my tongue and throat tingling. Definitely smelled like cinnamon and cider…The smell was actually overwhelming and made everything else smell like cinnamon apples once the box was opened. Didn’t really remind me of apple cider, actually (or even apple juice). Maybe I just left the bag in too long, so maybe I’ll give it another chance in the future with a shorter steeping time.

I’ve been a huge tea binge lately in an effort to cut down on the liquid calories I consume. I love, love, love this tea when it’s hot but it’s really strong when making iced tea. The apple flavor is too subtle to be more than barely noticeable when it’s cold and the cinnamon seems twice as strong. This is the only cinnamon tea that I’ve had the actually made my mouth tingle like Big Red does. If you’re going to be making iced tea with this, I recommend steeping for a very short time.

I really like this tea. It reminds me of apple cider, without being too overpowering. The apple is more of a background flavour – this makes a really great breakfast tea.

I was at supermaket looking for some chocolate, when I passed by the tea hall. I am a green tea addicted, but I decided to taste this Cinnamon Apple Spice Tea. Honestly, I really like this especially the smell, really strong.

Wow this is very heavy on the cinnamon! It tastes like Big Red gum to me… which I like..but I’m not sure if I like it as a tea. It’s sweet on its own (a little too sweet for me) but it’s not terrible.

Overall, sweet, very heavy on the cinnamon and tastes like Big Red gum :P

Why do I like this tea? This sweet and spicy herbal concoction that smells like potpourri? Why do I go back to it, even though I know that it’s going to remind me of that basket of bark on the back of some old lady’s toilet? (Or perhaps an apple cinnamon candle?)

I truly don’t know. But I will probably keep drinking this tea intermittently, anyway.

Like Umbrellathorn I also like this tea and the cinnamon qualities and I also don’t let it steep very long… maybe 2 minutes max. Nice during cold winter days.

This one’s a bit of an odd duck. Like others have mentioned, the spice is the star of the show here. I only get a small taste of apple, and it’s a bit …off. I’m actually giving it a decent score, because I’ve bought more than one box. It’s a bit different than you’d expect, it’s a bit peculiar, but in the end, I still seek out a cup every now and then. I guess it grows on you.

A great tea if you are careful about steeping time. Gets way too strong if you leave the bag in for too long. Bags don’t “age” well (so, if it takes you a long time to get through a box, I would advise buying it for autumn/winter, when apple spice is in the air, so you’ll use it up quicker). Still, one of my top teas. Smells great! Someday, I’ll have to try steeping it in cider instead of water…
