From Chawangshop

As one specification of dark tea, “Fu Zhuan”(Fu Brick Tea) is the top grade in the ancient kind of Dark tea. Being complete fermented tea, Fu Brick Tea is the most complex and unique brown tea which has the longest production processing cycle. It products Aspergillus Cristatus, brick-like in appearance, with flourishing golden flowers all over, dark and shining, red and strong tea soup, mellow to the taste with lasting scent.

This product of CNNP in Hunan can be a representant of high quality Hei Cha (Dark Tea): careful and handmade procesing (“Shouzhu”), selected 2007 tea material and special technics. It has been aging for 3 years to reproduce “golden flowers” in the tea! This is very prized and interesting tea. People have called it the golden flowers “Jin Hua”. The Aspergillus Cristatus is the dominant germ in the Fuzhuan, contributing to the special quality of the tea. The highest quality product of Anhua Tea Factory with “Jin Hua” arohid flavour – a true gift for tea lovers! This product is not traditionally exported kind of Hunan Fuzhuan, but special product for Hei Cha seller in Chinese market.

Delicious tea, resembles a mixture of spice (maybe cinnamon), nuts and herbs. The colour is dark red-brown and transparent, the taste is so rich that it is extremely hard to describe. Good tea for colder days despite the fact that hei cha is considered a “cooling” kind of tea. It works well with gongfu style, this kind of preparation allows you to fully enjoy the abundance of tastes of the tea.

The best hei cha I’ve ever tasted. Spicy (strong “orchid/cinnamon” aroma) and very sweet (thanks to golden flowers). Reminds me good dark oolongs but in a more interesting way (not so aggressive).
If you like dark oolongs and/or chinese black tea (hei cha) you have to taste this product. Recommended!
