Red Panda Picked Darjeeling

Black Tea by Chi of Tea

The Red Panda always picks freshest Darjeeling teas! The Red Panda is the mascot of the International Tea Festival in Darjeeling! This blend of farm fresh Darjeeling tea comes from the Red Panda’s personal stash of 2010 Second Flushes and 2010 Autumn Flushes. Creating a rich, yet balanced cup with rich notes of muscatel grapes and sweet florals.

Yeah, I totally caved and ordered this sample. And so far, all I’ve done is smelled the brewed tea, but just from that aroma – it was well worth the purchase!

Oh WOW! This Darjeeling is AWESOME! One of the best – if not the best – second flush Darjeeling teas I’ve experienced. Yum!

Now… if you don’t mind, I need some private time with this tea.

A very classic Darjeeling taste. Good color. Smells like I think tea should smell, but I tend to drink Darjeeling as my every day tea so I am probably biased. Mild earthy notes in the aroma with the mild muscatel as in the company description. Good hot, better mildly cold to room temperature where the flavor notes really come to the fore.

I was a bit skeptical at first, but I taste no panda paw in this, nor is there any fur, so I hope Chi of Tea can keep this available. :)
