Certified Organic Oolong "Silver Label"

Oolong Tea by Cloudwalker Teas

This certified organic oolong tea comes from the proprietor of a small vegetarian restaurant in Taipei, Taiwan that takes diners by appointment only. The restaurant owner only serves one group at a time and always has extremely high grade oolong tea to offer his guests. For him, cooking and tea are both labours of love and one can really taste and feel it when drinking this handcrafted oolong tea…

Two Oolongs in one day? Yay!

OK… this is totally yum. Like YUMMMMMM!

This has a very lovely honey-esque note to it, sweet, with a roasty nutty taste too. A very light buttery touch, and a very pleasant floral note.

This is why I love Oolongs!

No other teas can match their complexity, in my opinion… such a unique depth of flavor, rich mouthfeel, it’s like drinking liquid gold.

Roasted. Floral. Honey. Those are the first 3 words that pop in my head while drinking this one. This is very flavorful and very unique. I even over infused and it holds up very well and is very forgiving. This is smooth and creamy on the tongue too! Another great Oolong from Cloudwalker Teas.

With the name “Organic Oolong” I didn’t really know what to expect. So the aroma of the freshly brewed tea was a pleasant surprise. Notes of honey, roasted oolong and that kind of cinnamon raisin bread scent really stick out.

The liquor goes down pretty light, but the honey flavour sticks in my mouth. It’s refreshing but leaves a rich texture.

I tried this tea after a long hiatus. It practically jumped off the shelf at me this morning when I was deciding what to have before breakfast. I heated my water, prepared my yixing teapot which has been seasoned for aged oolongs, got out my gong fu cups and promptly forgot about the world with the first several inhales and sips of this tea. I really do enjoy oolongs, they all have such a rich depth of flavour and aroma. The sweet, honey notes were well pronounced in this one, especially in aroma and the taste was velvety smooth with a hint of roast as it went down. And the energy was potent. Somehow 30 mins disappeared and I nearly missed my bus. I still had to iron a shirt and pack my lunch but caught the bus in the nick of time. What an excellent tea! Except now I’m all spacey at work. Hopefully no-one notices…
