From Cloudwalker Teas

Often mistranslated, beware of the “copy-cats” of Tie Guan Yin easily found on the market. The Old Iron Buddha, aged for 40 years, is a full, potent and majestic tea. It is sweet and dry with understated floral tones. The flavor sparkles on the palate, while the tea’s chi is deceptively powerful. The finish on this tea leaves the mouth watering and the hui gan is long lasting like a chinook wind. The Buddha is broad and sweeping, like a cloud that uplifts and sets one adrift. A divine tea. By the third cup all one’s surroundings seem to melt away. One nearly swoons at the mere scent of this high level tea, washed over as if by a cool wave of chi. Not for mere mortals. For those who may ask ‘why old tea’, let this be offered by way of a response. Purchase this tea knowing your experience of it will be truly sacred. After our supply of this tea is exhausted, we will be unable to procure it again as it is almost completely extinct in Asia. EXTINCT

I drank this tea today after a particularly nice cliff tea of unknown heritage. I was fortunate to find another 25g! I will savour it over time for sure… Amazing drinking longevity. I steeped this tea about 10 times and it just kept going. What I said in my previous review still stands. It sure packs a wallop of a chi punch.
