Mmmmmmmmm I do love this one! Thank you TeaEqualsBliss for this LOVELY tea! You know it is so much like my beloved Almond Cookie from Joy’s Teaspoon and a couple other teas I have that are very similar except this actually has TEA in it! LOL I think this is one I will fall in love with and order more of! I absolutely LOVE the flavor of this tea yet it has the black tea kick I need in it. Oh yes I am in love here. SIGH sweet but not sappy, almond, crusty baked good flavor, nutty, buttery, what more could I want in life?
Thank you thank you thank you TeaEqualsBliss yes tea does equal bliss! :)

Thank you to TeaEqualsBliss for sending me some of this tea.

Yummy! I’m pretty sure that this is Almond Cookie from SpecialTeas, but I don’t know for sure. It tastes good though!

Finishing off the last that I have on hand of this lovely tea. As much as I love this tea without any addition (it is really yummy straight), I have discovered that it is EVEN better with a splash of dark chocolate breve creme… OMG. It’s like chocolate-gasm. YUM….

Mmmmmmm!

PS: just noticed that my full length review of this published this morning:

http://www.teareviewblog.com/?p=15899

Today, I decided to add a splash of chocolate creme to this… and it is YUM like this! Of course, it was YUM without the chocolate creme too.

But what surprises me is how the chocolate creme brings out the flavor of the cinnamon.
I will say it again: YUM!

and now it is all gone.

Yum! Almonds and cinnamon.

This is nice and comforting on this cold and misty day.

This dry ‘mix’ looks like Almond Cookie by SpecialTea and The Spice and Tea Exchange. It smells really close to it too! I’m excited to try this and my infusion is almost complete! (insert giddy/evil laugh here)

Oh yeah…THIS is NICE!

I’m thinking the Almond and spice is a little bit more prominent thank the black tea in the other tea companies take on this…and I’m not sure if there is as much ‘cookie’ type taste but regardless this is darn tasty! YUM!

Backlogging and a SIPDOWN…I will miss this one very much!

Have I Told You Lately…That I LOVE You??? Ahhhhhh! It’s been too long since my last cup of this! I’m saving a little bit for my stash but send a few samples to friends to spread the joy! In the meantime…read previous notes…this time around…additional notes include…

Cookie-like, almond-esque, black tea-base is A O K. Hints of Cinnamon. LOVELY!

My day just got crazier! Time for some comfort food…oh wait…I don’t have any…time for tea then!? Oh wait! It’s always time for tea!

Mostly Almonds and Spice today. Still pretty good.

Thank you teaequalsbliss for the sample! When I saw this tea I immediately wanted to try it… Christmas in July? ;) Haha. Cough. Anyway… this tea excited me when I saw it, with the slivered almonds and what I thought was saffron, but later realized was just safflower. It’s a pretty blend and sounds like it would be right up my alley.

The flavor is pretty good too, spicy but soft and comforting. It definitely makes me feel nostalgic for the winter holiday season. Warm cinnamon flavor tinted with a baked, roasty, nutty almond tone jazz up a fairly dry-tasting black tea base. The desserty, cookie like flavoring is distinct but not overly sweet. If anything I would have turned up the volume on the almond – I’m crazy for almonds! I will happily drink the rest of my sample but I won’t go hunt down more of it. The black tea tastes pretty bitter up-front, which keeps this from being a great tea for me.

Thank you to TeaEqualsBliss for letting me try this tea! I was a bit nervous as a lot of cookie type teas I have been trying lately have been major let downs. This tea doesn’t have an obvious cookie scent like some other teas, but boy oh boy does it have the flavor! The sugary almond notes blend so well in this tea, and with a bit of rock sugar it tastes like I’ve frosted the top of the treat! Glad I was able to try it and can’t wait for my next cup. In fact.. I might make another right now!
