Thanks, darby!

I brewed this pretty strong and then added milk and ice to it. It is very strange…it tastes like it’s alcoholic and not in a bad way at all like many other times things taste like alcohol. It tastes like a mudslide…or a mudslide made with rum. So weird! I think it’s the pecan and caramel together. Or at least the caramel, because it tastes like caramel and then fades into rum. I enjoy it very much because no drinking is actually required for such a flavor!

I think that’s the best way to describe it…like a mudslide. I was hoping more like melted chocolate caramel ice cream in flavor right now, but I won’t complain about this!

Could use a bit more chocolate…but it has the perfect amount of caramel. The nuttiness adds just the right touch too.

I’ve tried a bunch of teas over the past few days but it’s been pretty crazy over here so I haven’t logged them. I’ll try and get back on track! This tea smells awesome. The flavors are good and all present (Chocolate, caramel, nut), but I wish the black tea base was a little stronger. It gets tastier as it cools. I’ll definitely enjoy the rest of my sample, but I doubt I’ll reorder.

Thanks for this one LiberTEAs!

The aroma upon opening this package is truly amazing and VERY accurate! It’s chocolately, Caramelly, nutty, goodness! The post-infusion liquor is quite light in color…a paler black tea indeed! The Black tea taste is very mellow. The Caramel and Chocolate flavors stand out more than the nutty and black tea. The nutty and caramel flavors linger in the aftertaste more than the chocolate. This one is pretty good. I would love to have more black tea base taste but the flavors are yummy!

Starting my day off with this one because it’s Friday! :)
I will be preparing more packages to send out today! See previous notes about this specific tea :)

Backlogging two cups! I have soooooo much backlogging to do it’s CRAZY!

Anyhow this was a nice assister to my morning! My morning would have been a lot worse without this tea

backlogging and sipdown…

This is really yummy. The flavors are all represented in the sip: nutty, chocolate-y, caramel-y and a hint of earthy black tea. The black tea is a little meek here, but, it isn’t entirely absent.

This one gets a thumbs up from me.

This is the best chocolate tea I’ve had! Very, very chocolatey. I’m also tasting just a hint of nut and caramel. I wouldn’t really call this Chocolate Caramel Turtle tea, I would just call it CHOCOLATE tea. Will be repurchasing this once my sample runs out. Prepared with almond milk and stevia.

The last few weeks have been crazy for me (flooding, evacuating my home, moving back into my home, and now possibly having to re-evacuate my home). So today I decided I will drink only “Happy Teas” to make me feel better. This was the first one I reached for. It’s just as good as I remembered.

Brewed this with 200°F water for 3 minutes and then put the pitcher in the refrigerator overnight. I did not add any additives. Enjoying a thermos of it iced today.

The flavor is good, more chocolate to me than caramel. I also notice a sort of alcohol like quality to it. It tastes a little like a good truffle actually. For me, though, the aftertaste undermines it. It’s got that strange aftertaste that I detect in many flavored teas, and it just lingers. I just don’t like the aftertaste.

My partner is going to be jealous that I’m trying this one without her!

This is my first log from the huuuge variety of teas that I got from LiberTEAs, and one that I knew I’d enjoy as soon as I opened the package to have a sniff… Mmmm.

This tastes more nutty and caramel-y than chocolatey to me, which is not what I expected from the smell, but still very enjoyable. I decided to try this one out instead of drinking hot chocolate – the snow is coming down like crazy – and it’s definitely a suitable replacement. Warm and sweet and soothing. I’m glad I brewed enough for a big mugful.

From the journal:
With a name like Chocolate Caramel turtle, you would think this tea would be wonderful. Unfortunately, I think the flavors are trying too hard. The tea itself seems weaker than others. I can taste all of the flavors, but it is just too much going on. This one was sent to a better home.
