Black Tea by Culinary Teas

Our Caramel Cherry Cheesecake tea tastes just like it sounds. Yum Yum – desert without calories.

Got this in trade from Alphakitty who is so nice and gave me so much tea this trade.

I can definitely taste the caramel in this tea, layering pleasantly over the black tea base. It’s creamy so that’s probably the cheesecake flavouring, though it doesn’t really taste like cheesecake to me, but then I always get the chocolate mousse cheesecake whenever I go out for cheesecake so I’m possibly just missing that. I really can’t taste the cherry at all, even when this has cooled down and the flavours have come out more.

This isn’t a great tea, but it’s a good tea and one that I’ll drink the rest of my sample. I’m enjoying it, which is really all I can ask for. Probably a good thing I don’t love it, actually, because I have too much tea already and really shouldn’t be buying more, yet I just signed up for the Della Terra try-me of the month club so apparently I’m just not listening to myself.

This is the first in the lovely care package from Azzrian.

This is a very light, flavorful tea. I got more of the caramel and cherry in the aroma than in the flavor. However, the taste is pleasant and lightly sweet.

This tea is good, but not quite what it says it is. The cheesecake flavor is pretty nonexistent, though it does taste of whipped cream. The cherry is more of just a vague, unidentifyable sweet fruity taste. The caramel note is quite strange… more like a brulee topping that is just SLIGHTLY darker than it should be – not overly burnt, but a tiny bit overdone. Overall, a pretty good tea if you’re not expecting it to taste like cheesecake, caramel, or cherry.

This is a pleasant tea, but, as others have said, it’s not what it thinks it is. I get a nice caramel taste, although not very strong, but I really have to stretch my imagination to get anything close to either cheesecake or cherry, either in aroma or taste. Still, I’m enjoying drinking it. (Thanks, Starfevre.)

I added sugar and skim milk.
