I really like this one. It does taste and smell more like banana candy, but it somehow manages to avoid being artificial-tasting. This company has some other flavors that look tasty too, might have to try a few.

Ordered this because of Steepster
I was excited to try this since I only recall having tried one other banana tea in the past from A Quarter To Tea. (Still hoping She’ll reopen again at some point)
This one smells so good once steeped and tastes like a Banana Dessert. This is delicious it reminds me of these chocolate covered banana candies that I always get at the greek deli in town. It’s literally that candy but in tea form.

Tiffany :)

The flavor still is tasty when sipping even though the tea is in tea bag form? Onto the wish list this goes.. :)

Dustin

I’m right there with you on the hopes of someday placing another AQ2T order. The Grilled Spiced Banana was a favorite of mine.

Lexie Aleah

Tiffany: It’s really good!
Dustin: I never got to try that one, unfortunately. I loved her Turtle Dove tea though!

I miss AQ2T’s banana! Their Banoffee is one of my all time favorite teas.

Advent from Dustin Day 11
Another new to me brand and blend. I’d actually never heard of Curtis, so I’m even more excited to brew this up. Also…Banana Flambe?? Sounds incredible.
The dry leaf doesn’t have much of a scent, but once the water hits it, I’m blasted with a burst of banana deliciousness.
Absolutely incredible! A mild, malty flavor in the black base. Tastes like a fresh banana drizzled in caramel. Would be delicious with a bit of cream/milk.

Flavors: Caramel, Malt

Courtney

Yum! I love banana in tea. Is there any smokiness at all?

Dustin

It’s so weird how it does that! It does not smell interesting at all until you steep it! It’s the first/only Curtis tea I’ve tried as well.

Martin Bednář

If I recall correctly, Curtis is Ukranian company. They have often interesting flavours.

amandastory516

Courtney- No smokiness at all in my opinion.
Dustin- It was such a pleasant surprise!
Martin- Ooh good to know! I’m definitely interested in trying more of their blends.

Dustin

I found this one on Amazon.

Lexie Aleah

This sounds SO good. I’m gonna have to order some to try. (: I wonder how their other teas are the grape one has good reviews as well.

Martin Bednář

amandastory516: they even have some loose-leaf teas, I think I would like to try some blends as well.

Dustin: well, there is almost everything on Amazon :D

Lexie: That sounds indeed interesting; I don’t recall having a grape flavoured tea.

I’m a sucker for a banana tea so when I saw someone on IG posting about this tea I wanted to try it immediately. When I opened the box I was surprised to not really smell anything. Not a good sign. Once that tea bag hit the hot water the scent of banana exploded. The banana flavor it more apparent when the tea is hot. As it cools I first taste the tea base in the sip, then the banana comes out in the finish with an almost caramel note. It is pretty impressive for bagged tea from some brand that seems off the beaten path. I bet it would be great as a latte!
