Blueberry Fling

My first Adagio custom blend arrived today! I was so excited to make this tea, especially after noting that adagio didn’t really make a berry blended green rooibos when they created the green rooibos collection.

Even with just 30% berry blues, I can really taste the blueberry in this blend. It isn’t over the top or too tart that I need to add sugar. I think it is just right! There is a light citrus herbal tone from the lemongrass, and the flavor from the rooibos still shines through. I’m really happy I made this tea and can’t wait to try it iced. I’m hoping this will be a perfect evening blend for those nights I want something fruity and decaf!

I opened my mailbox today and found a package from MeghannM! Yay!! As soon as I opened the package, my husband and I set down to smell each tea. As soon as he took a whiff of this one, he just had to have it. The aroma is very blueberry with a little citrus hint from the lemongrass. I brewed up a nice large pot for us to share and we are enjoying it now. Until now, I’ve only had red rooibos and I definitely prefer this green rooibos. There is no woody/weirdly minty aftertaste to be found! This is a great herbal!

The blueberry is noticeable but not overly sweet. The lemongrass is nice in this blend and not overpowering. It is almost like eating blueberries with a little squeeze of fresh lemon. I am really enjoying this while trying to wind down from the day. I think this may have to go on my shopping list!

Wow, this is awesome!! Blueberries galore! Very Sweet and would be a nice tea to have on hand when you are trying to take care of your sweet tooth. Yum!

Thank you awesome Meghann M for sending me this sample. I am in LOVE! This combo of blueberry and lemongrass with a green rooibos base is delightful and refreshing. I love the medley of citrus and blueberry – kind of like blueberry lemonade. :) OOH, gotta try this one iced! This is a definite must for blueberry fans of any age. And it’s a great way to enjoy green rooibos. I must acquire a full bag from Adagio asap. Thanks again for sharing, Meghann! And awesome blending job! :)
