Mrs. Hudson

Black Herbal Blend by Custom-Adagio Teas

A sweet, mature blend, with floral notes and a faint whiff of biscuits.

Inspired by BBC’s Sherlock, which I am in no way affiliated with. This is created purely for my own enjoyment.

ingredients:
assam melody, almond, osmanthus

lol Steepster really cropped the image funny! I had a $10 gift card and the Sherlock teas were only $8 a piece so I treated myself to two of them!
This blend smells very mellow, but when you delve into a cuppa it actually reminds me of the Pancake Breakfast by 52 teas sans maple! The almond and the assam together somehow make than kind of pancake flavor that I enjoyed so much in the other blend.
This tea was really tasty and extremely affordable. I would suggest this to tea drinkers who want something soothing, mild, and not overpowering in the flavoring. This is a good example of flavoring not being too strong or too sweet. I love the little osmanthus flowers as well!

I had such a wonderful day! I had a long walk in the canyon and my husband purchased me a copy of the Dhammapada. I’ve noticed that I have not been drinking many of my black tea blends; this one in particular. I think that this is largely due to the fact that it was pretty low key. The flavor is mainly sweet almond and slight floral notes. The black base is also very evident in this one. I always am cautious not to oversteep this one.

I’m surprised how much the osmanthus adds to the flavor of this tea. It mostly tastes of darker, black tea with almond and light flowers. It is pretty good, but for whatever reason, I don’t drink it very often.

This is lovely! I really like the combination of almond flavour and the floral notes from the osmanthus. It’s fragrant and sweet, but not overwhelmingly so— a perfect match for Mrs. Hudson. Definitely one of my favourites so far.
