Chai

Black Tea by Custom

Just a random chai that I made using a blend of Assam and Ceylon, a LOT of ginger, honey, pepper, cardamom, cloves and cinnamon. This is my “I have a nasal infection and can’t taste anything that isn’t over the top flavorful, and don’t want to waste my most excellent Masterpiece Chai when I’m feeling like this Chai blend”

A friend of mine blended up some chai and gave a small tin to me. It turned out quite nice! I’m really enjoying her creative efforts. Thanks G!!
The first time I made a cuppa, it was super potent. More than I cared for. Now that it’s been a few months, the blend has mellowed out significantly, in the best way possible. I think I’ll go for another!
I added milk and a bit of sugar this time, but I tasted it before that and it really could go without if needed. Yum!

Way to punch through the flu Mr. Chai. You’re a good friend in times of need.
A little too much cardamom this time around, which I found a bit odd. Milk and honey certainly helped :)

Well, I think that my description pretty much says it all. I can taste the ginger most prominently. The rest of it pretty much lingers in the background because my taste buds are not up to par at the moment. Honey and ginger. And very soothing heat.

Not going to rate this because, well, I am not in any condition to really do so.

This tea comforts me a great deal while I’m trying to recover from the nasal infection. The peppery ginger is very … well, peppery/gingery! It’s nice to taste something!

I can actually taste more of the other aspects of this tea today, perhaps I am getting more of my taste buds back. I can taste the cinnamon, cardamom and cloves. The Assam tea is there too. Nice!
