I mixed together Kashmiri Chai from Golden Moon with Mélange de Chaminox from Upton for a delicious chai treat. To make:

4 teaspoons of tea
1 cup milk
1 cup water

in pan.

Simmer for 8 minutes on a medium low heat. Cover and let steep one minute. Each minute longer you let it steep = stronger tea. Beware!! Strain into 2 cups which have a squirt of honey in them.

I haven’t had stovetop chai tea in forever (see recipe in tea description)! I’ve been drinking steeped herbal blends which are good, but as you know, ain’t nothin’ like the real thing! This was spicy and creamy and sweet (honey). A dessert in itself (and toast with butter and orange marmalade was a not so shabby accompaniment!). Truly one of my favorite treats in the world.

The only problem is that I had it at 9pm and was up half the night. I’m not sure how many times I have to do this to myself before I stop drinking caffeine after 5 when I know better! But…but…it’s the most delicious, and it was Saturday night, and.. but.. ;)
