Sipdown! (4 | 77)

I finished all of my subscription teas, and that section of my countertop organizer was conspicuously empty. So I decided to fill it with my remaining swap samples from Courtney and work on finishing them off!

Without looking at the description, I thought this was a rhubarb and cream sort of tea. I wasn’t that far off I suppose, but actually it’s red fruits with vanilla and toffee. Maybe it’s the combination with the rooibos that’s making me think of B&B’s Rhubarb + Custard.

Anyway! It’s perfectly tasty, though I could use just a bit more flavoring and I don’t really get toffee at all. It’s fairly rooibos-forward, which isn’t a big issue for me, but I know it could be for other people. It’s not one that I would buy because of the similarity to Rhubarb + Custard, but it was enjoyable to try. Thanks, Courtney!

1443 tasting notes

I picked this up one for Lex last year with the DF order and it doesn’t really appeal to me, but I thought I’d give it a whirl tonight.

The dry scent is quite medicinal to me, but I tried to strategically get extra strawberries pieces in my cup before steeping. The taste is slightly medicinal, but it’s not as intense as the scent. The strawberry and cherry mix comes out here, but I’m almost wishing for maybe a bit more vanilla…or better yet their delightful biscuit flavour – just to mellow it out a bit more.

Edit: Lex wants to note that she is upset I’ve ‘strategically stolen’ her strawberry pieces. XD

Yum! I sadly didn’t end up ordering that one, but most of their teas I’ve tried are so tasty, you can’t often go wrong!

2956 tasting notes

Oh, dear rooibos, this is amazing. Lots of fruity notes (cherry, strawberry, maybe raspberry and blueberry), sweet rooibos, cream, caramelised nuts, almond, sugar, and vanilla. These are all my favourite things put into one blend. Best of all, no hint of tartness if you leave it steeping too long.

I honestly can’t think of anything to improve this. Everything about it is lovely. It also resteeps well and makes amazing lattes!

Try it! It is the best of the rooibos blends in my opinion.
