From Darjeeling Tea Exclusive

This is a bold innovation from Arya Tea Estate. From being a recent limited edition release it has become a top-notch regular among the Darjeeling connoisseurs.

DRY TEA: The leaves are almost entirely green which is unusual for a white tea. Made from the finest leaves of the tea garden, the tea is stunning to look at. The leaves and the tips are long and delicate, and have the fragility of a china. Each of them had been plucked and processed with the finest care.

INFUSION: The leaves turn pale green and yellow. The nose is very fragrant florally, bearing the whole ectasy of spring in it.

CUP: The liqor is pale green, a shade darker than other Darjeeling white teas. The fragrance of the cup is complex mix of floral characters that rises in its effect at every sip. This cup is a magnificient journey.

BREWING INSTRUCTIONS: 5 mins.

OCCASION: Ideal for a meditative moment. Or for reflective session with intimate friends.

This is a really good white tea. That being said it maintains a hit of that characteristic Darjeeling muscatel flavor which you find in all the regions black teas. My experience with it has been that it is much lighter than this websites description of it. Darjeeling is just starting to produce good green and white teas, but they don’t quite have it dialed yet. You won’t be disappointed with the Arya, but if you are looking for a sublime experience you may want to look elsewhere. I tend to drink this in the afternoon when I want some tea, but don’t want to commit to much stimulation. It’s absolutely worth a try if you’re into Darjeeling’s.
