From Darjeeling Tea Exclusive

DRY LEAVES: The elongated lime green leaves with a yellow tone and some lustrous silver tips is a satisfying sight. The leaves are well-rolled, neat, wiry and evenly sized with a nice bloom.
INFUSION: Large unfolded leaves with a healthy sparkle, and a nose of fresh tender greeness, and a sweetness reminiscent of boiled apples, results in great anticipation for the cup itself.
CUP: A pale lemon liquor with a mellow taste. There is a warm floral note and a slight bitterness, both coming together for a delicious effect that is rarely found in green teas.
BREWING TIME: 3-5 minutes
OCCASION: Makes a wonderful cup anytime. Enjoy with a bowl of freshly cut fruits.

This is the third Darjeeling green tea I’ve had the pleasure of imbibing, the second from the Arya Tea Estate. The other was the Emerald, which was considered the top green tea from there. I would disagree, though. Elixir puts up a compelling argument with its rich, strawberry leaf-like…well…elixir. One can even be liberal with the steep time for it and not end up with a spinached brew. For me, it was up there with Longjing and Mao Jian.
