From DarjeelingTeaXpress

Darjeeling connoisseurs are very familiar with Margaret’s Hope teas. Not only is it one of the most famous gardens but in effect it comprises of 5 gradens: Edenvale, Maharani Hills, Margaret’s Hope, Dilaram and Ringtong all produced from 1 factory. Boasting of a consistency in quality under the able leadership of Mr. Pandey & Mr. Gaurav – their teas have won consistent admirers worldwide. A fine standard for afternoon tea; a tea with good body and light, but distinct, first flush character; an excellent tea to accompany sweet or savory teatime snacks. Take with or without milk, sugar. Brew a strong concentrate, then mix with ice water and ice cubes for a delicious Darjeeling iced tea.

I’ve tried Margaret’s Hope Darjeeling before, but it is usually later on in the year.

This is a Darjeeling that gives no surprises, yet still does not disappoint.

It is straightforward, a nice balanced leaf with barely any scent while steeping.

The liquor is a nice slight kick to the usual flowery notes, the body is a little fluffy, but balanced nonetheless.

For a Darjeeling with no frills, this is pretty good at keeping any lows and dissatisfaction at bay, a great tea to enjoy when you have no attention for detail.
