Forever Nuts

Herbal Tea by DAVIDsTEA

For almond lovers
It looks all normal when it’s loose. But steep it and you’ll see that it’s nuts. Within seconds, this tempting jumble of almond slices and chunks, apple bits and cinnamon bark starts turning a crazy shade of pink. Why? Because it contains a hint of beetroot. That’s what gives this rich almond tea its earthy depth and its all-natural signature colour. Deliciously nutty, decidedly addictive.

Ingredients: Apple, almond, cinnamon, beetroot.

First brew was done at work without the proper infuser—the shipment came a day early and I wasn’t prepared and of course couldn’t wait until I got home to try it! Have heard such great things about this tea, will defintely give it another chance.

Much better this time around! On the advice of cityofpink, steeped it for 7 full minutes and it very yummy!

Maybe yes – pleasantly cheeky name with the word “forever” in it. @whoisnpy commented it tastes like a cinnamon bun!

I am now a fruity-herbal tea convert. Yes, it isn’t the strongest tea in the tin, but it’s perfect for early mornings or light brunches. The best part is, after I finish brewing myself a cup, I simply toss the blend into some oatmeal. So delicious, simple, and subtle.

I’ve got to be honest – I enjoy cooking and baking with this tea more than drinking it. Drinking-wise – I enjoy it every now and then, but I can’t wrap my head around its popularity. It has an almost buttery cinnamon taste, with a little bit of apple [I’m assuming the almonds give it the buttery texture].

Love this “tea”… The dry smell is delicious, it is like taking a whiff of an apple pie. The taste might even be better. I can definitely get the apples and the almonds. I also love that is is caffeine-free. A perfect evening treat. Oh and the brewed color is this wonderful shade of pink. Funny enough this tea made me buy a see through glass mug, just so I can see the liquid.

This “tea” smells great but honestly seems that it would be best suited as a topping for a yogurt breakfast granola deal. When steeped its a bit gritty and not really my “cup of tea”….. Something I would serve to children or non-tea drinkers.

I’ll admit, it’s not “tea” in the traditional sense. It was in my room mates DT calendar, so we decided to give it a shot. Worst case, we threw the pot out and made something else. I don’t really understand the colour. I mean, sure, it’s pretty… But I wouldn’t have cared if it was green or brown. I mean, it is a “nut” tea after all.

You know what this is? Guilt-free apple cider. Sure, it’s not “tea”, but it was a nice late-night winter tea for us! This would probably be a great drink for your friends that don’t like “tea”, similar to Goji Pop from DT.

I will be forever nuts about this tea, I have tried at least 20 other flavours from David’s Tea and this still holds the record. It tastes great any way you have it, as a latte, straight, with or without sweetener… amazing.

I love a cup of tea before bed, which explains my sweet spot for herbal teas. This tea smells great, like candied almonds. After that amazing smell, I was a little disappointed with the taste. Less candied nuts and more apple than I was expecting. And while it’s not as amazing as I had hoped, it was quite satisfying and a healthy replacement for that dessert I was craving.

Stacey: This tea has been one of my favourites from the start. The combination of the ingredients definitely works. The almonds give you this full flavour and the apple gives you a touch of sweetness that lingers in the mouth. The colour of the beetroot is just the cherry on top of a great tea. This tea has been a staple in our tea shelf for a long time now so I recommend this tea to anyone and everyone. 9/10 hands down.

Brooke: As I said, Stacey and I do have this in our cupboards and I can never turn this one down. It’s one of my favourites, I love it. It’s… the best. So good. Mm. Yes. I will be forever nuts about this tea. Ohoho. 9.5/10.

OHHHH YEAH.

This is the best thing to come out of the advent calendar so far for me. I will undoubtedly buy a tin & keep this in stock.

It’s like liquid comfort (but without the calories of hot chocolate), slightly fruity, slightly cinnamony, slightly nutty, slightly earthy. Just enough of each to be perfect.

Forever Nuts is definitely a favorite of mine; it was one of the first teas from DAVIDsTEA I ever tried, and I still keep a full tin on hand at all times. It’s just yummy. I love the colour, and the smell while it is steeping is so warm and nutty. It smells kind of like apple pie, except better, because I don’t really like baked goods. I’m so happy it’s caffeine-free, because that means I can drink it all day if I want! Which I do sometimes. Such as today.

So I am recently new to the tea drinking world, I used to think that tea tasted like a dirty cup of water. However when I was visiting a friend for the weekend she made me a cup of FOREVER NUTS, and I have been addicted ever since. This tea taste like I am eating a package of mixed nuts without all the extra calories that come with snacking on nuts, and the tea also turns a sweet pink colour as well.

Being one of the more popular teas from DT, I expected so much more. Overall, I find that it’s weak, not all that “nutty.” While it’s not a bad tea, it’s not something I’ll be likely to repurchase because it doesn’t have a flavor that is very unique or amazing.

Initially I had rated this tea quite low for the first tasting, but I think I’ve changed my mind..
I didn’t like it at all the first time around because the flavor just didn’t do anything for me. It wasn’t the “nutty” flavor that I was expecting based on the description.
I added a bit more tea to the same amount of water I originally used for the second time… much improvement. And the second infusion of the used tea (with slightly cooler water temp).. actually even better. More cinnamon-y, nutty taste than before and more of what I was expecting this tea to be.
Still not a ton impressed, but a lot more so than I had initially thought.
The pink color from the beetroot is also fabulous and makes me happy.

*edit: the more it cools (for the second infusion), the more and more cinnamon I get. It’s like drinking a cinnamon sugar donut.

This is my go to tea for people who say they don’t like tea. It is sweet and delicious just on its own, with a hint of nuttiness. I love the pink colour.

I always come back to this tea when I’m looking for a delicious herbal blend. I’ve never tried it iced, but will in the future, as it is the perfect tea to have after dinner as a dessert.

Omnomnomnom Advent Calendar Day 12!

I love how nutty this tea is. I still prefer sleigh ride I think, but this is a close second for my fav hot herbal from Davids. Though I am a little disappointed in this sample, all the nuts were stuck together! I think it might have been stale…. But I also mixed it with sleigh ride and it was delish!

I really like this one. I don’t think it tastes quite as good as it smells…but still a great tea for nuts lovers.

If you are not a huge fan of a nutty flavor in your tea, then this is not the tea for you. It is a herbal tea, but it’s all about the nutty flavor. That is all I taste…and I love it! It left a really nice aroma in my vehicle this morning too :)
