From DAVIDsTEA

Kiss me, kiss me

Okay, this is probably the world’s best chocolate tea. Honestly. Better than dessert. More reliable than sex. It’s a totally decadent combination of China black tea, vanilla, peppermint, chocolate bits and spicy red peppercorns. Plus it contains little red candy lips for a kiss of sweetness. In other words, it’s a completely satisfying spring experience with no guilt or strings attached.

Ingredients: Chinese black tea, peppermint, dark chocolate (Sugar, chocolate liquor, cocoa butter, soy lecithin and vanilla), red lip sprinkles (sugar, rice flour, cottonseed or soybean oil, cornstarch, gum and soy lecithin, colouring), pink peppercorns, natural and artificial flavouring*.

Allergens: Soy and may contain dairy

This tea is my go-to pick-me-up morning tea…I practically swear by it! It’s gotten me through several early mornings when it’s beyond appropriate to be out and about going to work. The invigorating peppermint combined with the spiciness of the peppercorns, together with the sweetness of the chocolate and the candy lips are, at least to me, one of the best things to start the day with. Keeps me going for hours!

I read so many great things about this tea, so I had to try it for myself. I bought 50g of it at DavidsTea over the weekend and waited about 10 minutes so that two people before me could buy it as well. I’m not really a fan of mint chocolate, however this tea is delicious! I prefer my tea very strong so I let it steep for quite a while and I guess it helped capture all of the delicious flavours. This is the perfect dessert tea! I also think it would make a nice valentines day gift for an avid tea drinker, as there are tiny red lips mixed in with the blend, very cute!

Seriously, this is the best chocolate tea I’ve ever had. I don’t even like chocolate teas and I loved this one. I loved it so much that I made two pots within an hour and a colleague and I actually wanted to make a third. The pepper and mint bring out the taste of the chocolate. What I liked is that this tea really tasted like how it smelled. I’ve tried super chocolate, chocolate chilli chai and chocolate and those ones just didn’t live up to my expectations but Read my lips – oh so lovely.

A little more chocolate would have made this epic. Still, it isn’t terrible just a bit minty for my tastes.

It smells like chocolate and makes my mouth water. Has a dark/bitter chocolate taste to it. There is a small amount of spice to it. Very smooth but I don’t need a big mug of it, it’s too much of a good thing. Tastes just like it smells.

The first time I tried this one I wasn’t super impressed with it but I’ve had it a few more times since then and it has certainly grown on me. This is a nice one to drink iced on a hot summer’s day because it has a hint of mint and is a pretty tasty tea all around.

By far this is my favorite tea as of yet! Everything from the cute little candy lips and chocolate chips to the sweet smell of it brewing! The flavor is just a perfect cup of chocolaty minty greatness! It is also one of the few teas that I can drink cold as well. I love it with no sweetness added. OR with one of David’s Tea coconut Agave sticks!!! OH MY Goodness !!! MMmmm! I am addicted! Definatly my go-to Tea!

Smells exactly like a chocolate mint girl guide cookie, and tastes AMAZING. I’m always wary of chocolate as an ingredient in tea, but it works here – the tea tastes mostly minty, but I can taste the chocolate on the back of my throat at the end.

Really liking this tea. It’s got a great peppermint flavour, though I must admit it overpowers all the other flavours. While I definitely get chocolate on the nose (fancy way of saying I smell chocolate) I don’t taste any. As such, I’m not sure it’d make sense to spend money on this over a cheaper straight peppermint tea.

Having said that it’s still a fantastic tea, and the fact that it’s caffeinated is a real plus for those nights when you want the flavour of peppermint but need a little jolt of caffeine. Also be interested to see how it would hold up with a sweetener and/or milk.
