Bravissimo

Herbal Tea by DAVIDsTEA

When Pavarotti needed to ease a sore throat, he called for tea. Some say it was hot. Others swear it was cold. We think he probably drank it both ways. And that he would have loved this tisane. It’s packed with throat soothers like licorice, chamomile, rosehip, orange peel and peppermint, as well as immune-enhancing goji berries. Perfect hot or iced.

Wouldn’t consider myself a chamomile lover, but wanted something with a bit of liquorice-the nice girl at DT suggested Bravissimo before one of their other straight up licorice blends, and I’m glad-its a really nice amount, don’t know if I could handle more. I like my tea about 2 tbsp sweetener sweet and it was overkill-had to add more boiling water!. I can see this as a go to tea during cold andflu season..

This tea has many “layers” to it; from the first cup I had, I was first hit with chamomile, then peppermint, and lastly a subtle aftertaste of licorice. I like it! But I must make sure to have it more so in the evening, because chamomile makes me sleepy. Also, I can definitely see this being something I rush to when I am sick.

I had a scratchy throat last week and this tea was nice and soothing. I’m not generally a fan of licorice but it works here.

Bravissimo is an interesting tea – more for what it does than how it tastes. Taste wise – strong licorice and camomile, very similar to Sweet Dreams in that regard. Citrus notes also very prominent (from the orange and the goji no doubt).

It numbs your throat well. Really well. If the only symptom you’re experiencing is this, I highly recommend this tea.

I love this tea! So refreshing. The wonderful licorice notes shine through. It’s perfect for these blah winter days we’re having.

This is my favourite DavidsTea so far. I absolutely adore it.

This is a very soothing tea. I love the light taste, and it’s very smooth going down. I like licorice and peppermint in tea, but it’s a very light licorice taste here, and I don’t even notice the peppermint, which is strange, as mint can so easily take over a tea. I didn’t think I was a fan of chamomile, but it really works well in this blend, and I think it’s the dominant flavour.

This is a tea that I may not crave, but I could easily drink anytime.

I’ve been feeling under the weather, and my throat is really hurting me. I tried to decide which tea would be the most helpful, and Bravissimo is the first that came to mind.

I’ve had 4 cups of it so far, and it is very soothing. I don’t expect miracles out of it, but it tastes good and is helping me to stay hydrated.

Funny because I don’t taste much licorice in this tea! I bought this tea when I had a cold and the girls at Davidstea recommended this tea because of the licorice. Truthfully, it didn’t help my cold but I could taste it, that’s for sure. The chamomile is strong, and this tea is SO sweet, I was kind of taken aback that I didn’t need to add anything and it was already sweet on it’s own. Not necessarily a bad thing, I suppose. Honestly, I don’t know how I feel about this tea. I don’t hate this tea, but I’m not a big fan either. It’s not horrible by any means.

At first taste the chamomile is there, but afterwards everything else comes in. It’s quite calming then however it has a lot of sweetness that flies in aswell but don’t get me wrong still delicious and great before bed!

This is one of those teas that is a staple for any tea cupboard centered on wellness.
not overwhelmingly better then any other chamomile infusion I’ve tried.
soothing, warming and great for sore throats, anxiety and late night peace.
great for putting in a thermos when you have a cold or sore throat.

I don’t like chamomile, so this tea was kind of destined for failure… but I tried it anyway, out of curiosity. What did I learn?? I am apparently super sensitive to the taste of licorice! At first sip this seemed okay, then I noticed a sweet aftertaste… then it got sweeter and sweeter, sticking to the back of my throat, very cloying…. very very unpleasant! Aahhh! I took another sip and it happened again! I crammed my mouth full of m&ms but it did nothing to get rid of the taste in the back of my throat. Currently chugging water but to no avail. Bleehhhh! Never again!

I tried this in store today. The licorice in this tea is absolutely to die for, and I enjoyed it immensely. I will most likely be purchasing some soon, and not just for sore throats!

I really love this tea. As others have mentioned this tea has licorice in it which is exactly what does it for me. Often I find with licorice teas the licorice is too front and centre and it becomes overwhelmingly sweet, but in this case it really is a great finishing note and addition to a great tea that I use on a stressful afternoon, or to help with allergies, coughs and colds.

Meh. It tasted a lot like a bunch of other sleepy/cold remedy/relaxing teas I have, nothing special.

Just like to say that I’m going to avoid licorice. I bought this because I needed a tea I could drink before I went to bed. I had a cough at the time and I wanted something to sooth it.

The chamomile was soothing and the hint of peppermint was delicious. My only problem was the licorice. It had that lingering sensation and a smell/flavour I’m not a huge fan of.

I got used to it after a while. Usually I get lazy and leave my herbal teas steeping for a long time but because of the licorice, I can’t steep it for too long. It’s still a comforting tea before bed.
