From DAVIDsTEA

Discover the power of vanilla and oolong, with a little hint of orange. It’s temptingly rich. We’ve used Pouchong tea leaves, the least oxidized of oolongs. Which means that it’s almost as high in antioxidants as green tea. A lucky thing, because this tea is really quite addictive. Who would have thought that something this smooth and creamy could be so healthy?

Ingredients: Taiwanese pouchong oolong tea, green tea, lemon myrtle, marigolds.

So I added a little bit of the vanilla orchid to the second (and third) steep of this, and it turned out really good! More vanilla, just a hint of citrus. I think I might do that for the rest of the sample. :)

I freakin love vanilla.
Kyra, what’s your secret ingredient? Why do all your cookies and cakes taste so good!?
Well, I’ll let you in on a little secret, my friends. I overdo it with the vanilla. Don’t believe me? Watch me as I bake things. You’ll see me accidentally grab the tablespoon, instead of the teaspoon measure. Oh whoops, I wasn’t looking. I accidentally poured too much and it already mixed in with the rest of the ingredients! Well, I can’t pull it back now.

So with that being said, vanilla is my FAVOURITE.
This tea, oh wee! The vanilla was fairly strong in this one! Not like sickening strong, but a good strong. Smells like pure vanilla which is great :) And the leaves opened up so nicely as it was steeping, and the vanilla still carried through!
Sipping, though, I taste more butter than vanilla :( Aww much sadness :( it’s a very nice cup! Silky smooth, but where’s the vanilla?

There are stevia sweeteners with vanilla and/or French vanilla that are totally awesome. They can improve the most awful teas. As you can tell, I love vanilla too.

This is my new favourite! It has a classic oolong taste (floral and smooth) but with a hint of vanilla this tea is heavenly! Add a bit of vanilla agave, and you get a sweet treat that curbs all sweet tooth cravings. In fact, just writing about it makes me want to skip my lecture and make some!

Its also great for multiple steeps. I’ve steeped it 6 times, however the fifth/sixth was not as good. It turned quite spicy/earth, but not in a soothing way.

I had this as a latte in store, and man it made my day. Like, what even. Very subtle vanilla, but it highlights the orange hints. SO GOOD.

Simple and sweet, but bizarrely, this appears to contain no actual vanilla. What gives? To me, Vanilla Oolong just tastes sweet. Generically sweet. I much prefer the newer Vanilla Orchid, which has a creamier vanilla flavour.

Something about this isn’t sitting well with me… It’s kind of plasticky. Going into the purge pile.

keeping with the reoccurring theme of long steeps, i made this one up while putting on supper. it smells SO YUMMY but found the taste to be lacking. vanilla orchid oolong definitely picks up what this one forgot.
but it’s in my tea drawer, so i shall drink it. which is ok, i don’t ‘not’ like it, just probably won’t restock, is all. well, as long as vanilla orchid is in stores!

Hmmm, I’ve always been a big vanilla fan, but this time..I don’t understand
Maybe I let the bag in for too long and it’s my fault, but it is the third time that I try it and the taste isn’t sweet at all. It is more like a bitter taste..and I can’t even say I liked the smell.
Unfortunately for me, I made a mistake on my last online purchase and I ordered two pots of this one !! :P
Maybe I’ll end up liking it, I hope so. Maybe I should add some milk or sugar in ?
