From DAVIDsTEA

Peace and love

Our deliciously fruity blend has its roots in the 1960s, when every cool hippie was growing kombucha. Today, hipsters are again promoting this fermented tea for its delicious taste and good vibes. We’ve combined it with oolong, mango, pineapple and safflowers to make it taste like a golden ray of psychedelic sunshine. Yeah.

Ingredients: Oolong tea, mango, pineapple, Kombucha Powder, safflower petals, artificial flavouring*.

Allergens: Gluten-free wheat starch

This is a very fruity tea! The oolong tea taste is quite mild and I find the fruit taste is more prominent then the oolong tea. It is quite an enjoyable taste but I was dissapointed to see that it includes some artificial flavor.

Tried this iced. Interesting. Very fruity, but with a strong malt aftertaste. Sort of an almost alcoholic aftertaste.

Don’t usually like oolongs, but this one is alright :)

This is a pretty good Oolong flavored blend from David’s Tea. I really like Kombucha drinks, but I am not really picking up any Kombucha notes here. I prefer this cold steeped as opposed to traditional hot steeping as the flavor lends itself nicely to an iced tea. I bought a tin of this blend, and I would recommend it to a friend, but I think I’ll be going back to David’s Live Long blend for my flavored Oolong needs.

So I totally thought that the base of this tea would be overpowering-it looked like black tea at first but when I looked it up on here it turned out to be oolong! Clearly I’m going blind xD
Well, either way, this one surprised me!
Couldn’t really taste the base tea which really worked out for this one!
The main flavors were mango and peach. There was also like a really sour taste in it-for a second there, I thought it might be citrus, but then I realized it was probably the pineapple.
It’s not really "sweet’, but it’s just really really fruity. I like it, it’s a decent tea. Just not my absolute favorite. Wouldn’t mind drinking it again. Just too many fruits all at once for me. xD

Tea for Me Please - Nicole Wilson

I like when they make this one as Tea Pop. The carbonation breaks up the sweetness :)

AllanK

I bought this tea but returned it when I found out it had an ingredient called deglutenized wheat in it.

Ost

What’s so bad about that, AllanK? Like…are you allergic?

AllanK

Yes, I am allergic to gluten.

Ost

Oh, bummer :/

Can I just say, the people at the local DAVIDs tea is FREAKIN FAB.
Oh my gosh I love them so much.
((full story down below!!))

Enjoyed this tea to-go as a teapop when i went to San Francisco on Wednesday!
Nice, slightly citrusy tea! I love how it’s so bright and so refreshing :)
I’m not the biggest fan of pineapple, so I was a bit hesitant in trying this tea out, but the mango definitely took the spotlight over the pineapple! Super yummy and super refreshing as a teapop! I think the description of this tea on their site describes it perfectly! hahah

I drank this on Wednesday when I went to the City. And yes, when I say local, I mean the only DAVIDsTEA we have that is an hour away from home, or 7hours away from where I live (SoCal for school). I took the train into sf on Wednesday to meet up with a couple friends for a business trip, and I was a bit early so of course, since my stop was Powell, I had to go to the Westfield mall and pass by DAVIDs! So I did and I looked around and everyone there was so nice! I wanted to see if I can smell their “It’s Back!” collection because I didn’t know if I wanted to get it or not. But sadly, they were in sealed packages and not sold loose :( I was talking to this guy named Jason and was asking him about the melon teas that they had and he mention their “It’s Back!” collection. Trish was behind him (she looked like she was a manager of some sort) and she actually took one of their boxes and she opened them for me! I was so grateful and I HAD to get it!

I told them that I wasn’t looking into purchasing anything at that time since I was there purely for business, but I will be back the day after where I’ll be back in the city for pleasure! They both said it was perfectly fine and I was getting ready to meet up with friends, and Trish asked if I wanted some tea to go, maybe a teapop or something, and I was all TEAPOP!??! Because I totally forgot they made teapops! So I was all Trish, I trust you. Make me your favourite tea, on one condition: it has to be a teapop. She got so excited! She pulled down a bunch of teas from the Wall and I narrowed it down to Yogi Berry and Happy Kombucha. I told her that from all of them, I have the two finalists and I wanted her to surprise me.

She made it and Jason was asking me about if I’ve ever had a teapop before. I said yes, but they were all made from home and… they didn’t turn out all that great ahha. So he actually told me how they made it in store step by step and Jason, can you please be mine.
So yes, that is my teapop story ahhaha

Dr Jim

So what, exactly, is a teapop?

jump62359

It’s pretty much tea soda!
You pretty much brew your tea, but it has a very high tea to water ratio so your “tea” is more of a syrup. Pour that over ice and top off with carbonated water :)

The fruity aspect of this tea is nice! But the kombucha definitely tastes very bread-ish. That’s the best way to describe it. Weird.

Another surprise! I’ve had bottled kombucha from a health food store and thought it was terrible. It tasted just like fruity overly carbonated beer with a funky aftertaste. So, what possessed me to want to buy this tea after that experience? I think the only way we’d know the answer to that is if someone laid me down on a couch and hypnotized me while asking questions and writing things down on a clipboard because I don’t have the faintest idea what motivates me sometimes.

Anyway, this was lovely! I mostly got the mango along with a cooling sort of effervescence that made it feel fresh and springy! And that was when I brewed it hot! I’m excited to try this cold-brewed to see what happens to it. It smells really good in the bag, too. So glad I ended up asking my friend to grab a sample while she was in a store up northern California. I also got a sample size of Cool Cactus….which does not smell so good in the bag….I’ll see how that goes soon enough.

I had a to-go of this since I wanted to try it before committing to buying. I feel like this tea had so much more potential but having the store make it kinda detracted from that. I’m going to have to commit to 1/2 oz. and brew it to my preferences to see if this really is worth it. From what I tasted in this cup, just slightly peachy, lots of oolong flavor.

This was the first to-go iced tea I ever got at DavidsTea so I decided to go back and get some. It was my first kombucha tea and I was curious. I also love all things fruity so I thought it would work out.

It’s a bit disappointing, honestly. I seem to not be a fan of tropical teas very much. I hate how the fruity flavors clash with the slight burnt, woody taste most tropical teas have.

There’s really nothing wrong or especially bad about this tea, and I’m sure others really like it but I guess it’s just not for me :(

I’m getting mostly peach and mango, not a lot of pineapple by the way.
