Early morning study session before going to lunch/ meeting.

The dry tea smells really fruity, with a hint of coco. The almond pieces, raspberries and the yerba are easily visible.
The brew smells nicely of coco, the raspberry merely a wisp. Drinking it, the raspberry flavor is more dominant, the coco an aftertaste, and not getting the almonds and other stuff. I’m also getting a…I don’t know, banana? Some other fruit? Can’t identify it, but it’s quite pleasant.

Light but flavorful. Quite nice.

Not feeling the energy rush yet, but hopefully it’ll hit me sometime soon.

At first, I thought this tea was very good, but then I kind of got tired of the flavour. I bought 100g and I am sadly having a hard time getting through it. It has a toasty flavour with a hint of chocolate and raspberries. Maybe the aromas are a little too fake tasting to me.

Will have to try this one again, possibly with milk and sweetener, but so far it gets good marks from me. Not very chocolaty, but that’s alright by me, it still has some nice bitter cocoa notes to it. I am tasting/smelling a sot of banana like aroma, which isn’t bad, what I like best so far is what I think is the chicory? Allover, it’s a nice toasty tea, that seems versatile. Not sure yet if it differs enough from Teavana’s matevana to warrant buying, though.

So I’m onto day 2 of the Dsvid’s Tea advent calendar. I brewed up some chocolate rocket. Since I tried the cocoa canela before and was dissapointed with the lack of chocolate flavour in it, I though chocolate rocket may be the answer to my prayers. Unfrotuneately, I don’t think I like chocolate rocket too much. The smell was meh for me. and the taste was okie. I mean nothing like ewww won’t ever drink this again and not like omg I loved it. It’s just meh.

24 days of tea #2. Overall I like this tea but I expected more of a chocolate taste but I like the raspberry kind of sweetness. I’ve figured out what the “rocket” part of the name is about, wow this tea has some stimulant hit. I got all my housework done after two cups of this :D.

I must admit, I was a bit nervous about this one. I had bad experiences in the past with maté teas, usually finding them overpowering and difficult to finish.

However Chocolate Rocket seemed to be the exception to this rule. It had very nice chocolate notes, but not to the point where it felt like I was drinking a tall mug of melted chocolate (which, for some, would be the greatest thing in the world). It was just the right amount of chocolate flavour.

The shorter steep time perhaps contributed to this factor. I’d imagine that if I were to steep it for a longer time the chocolate flavour would be more intense. I also did detect a slight fruitiness to the tea, which upon further investigation I discovered was raspberry. Again, just enough to lightly flavour the tea without being overpowering.

And since it’s maté, which means it’s a stimulant, this would be a great morning pick me up. Looking forward to trying it again.

I don’t feel that I can currently, or ever will be able to give a fair assessment of this tea. Caffeine, even caffeine from tea does terrible things to me so I can’t brew up enough of this tea to really get a feel for it like I can with others.
I was a little disappointed to get a stimulant in my advent calendar, but then again, most people don’t have my caffeine related difficulties. C’est la vie!

I did enjoy the way the raspberries worked in this tea, I found them subtle at first and stronger as an aftertaste. It didn’t taste like most of the other chocolate teas that I’ve had before which was a nice change.
Overall it was a nice tea, but the flavour alone is not enough to make me keep coming back to it in spite of how much caffeine it has.

I think my tiny advent calendar tin will have that second serving of tea in it for quite a while right now.

What could be better than a hot cup of tea with chocolate, almonds and raspberries? If the tea gave you insane amounts of energy!
This is my favorite first thing in the morning tea! I like to drink it and text my mom to inform her I had chocolate for breakfast.
The taste is unfortunately light if you use the recommended steeping instructions, but I just let it go for a while because with Mate teas it doesn’t make it too bitter to drink, just stronger.

This was the very first David’s Tea that I got into, it came highly recommended by a friend. I didn’t originally like black tea but was looking for something to give me energy and this certainly did the trick. Nice natural energy with amazing flavour. I am a sucker for chocolate and this tea certainly doesn’t disappoint. One thing to watch out for is the amount of raspberry you get in your spoonful, too much and I find it overwhelms the delicious chocolate taste that otherwise occurs from brewing.

This just smells amazingly dark and sensual.
flavorful dark chocolate with raspberries and a rich smokiness.
There is a strong coffee like aftertaste which would make any coffee lover happy.

Having never been a coffee drinker this was a little too rich and bitter for my liking but was a great one time experience.

I do know my BFF (lindairvine) will probably love this though.
