I went upstairs and left this to steep in the kitchen, when I came back downstairs a few minutes later the whole downstairs smelled of black forest gateaux. The taste did not quite live up to the smell for me, next time I will drink it as a latté with almond milk.

However! It definitely woke me up, it was much more stimulating than the chai guarana that I bought specifically for that purpose.

Ever heard of a BIG TURK? It’s a bar of chocolate covered strawberry flavored gummy. It is exactly what this tea smells like. Such a wonderful pick me up.

Flavour was o.k…..too rasberry for me..but more importantly rather than give me energy it gave me a headache. Glad I was able to try it in the Advent calandar and not end up with a full can of it,

I found this tea in my David’s Tea Advent Calendar today. It was just what I need to get me going on this dreary, rainy Sunday morning! It smells deliciously chocolatey, with almond hints as well. I just add milk, no sugar, and it tastes just sweet enough. I’ve had this tea before, and it always gives me a nice energy boost to get me through.

I find myself reaching for this tea often in my cupboard, amongst the myriad of teas I have. :p Anyways, even though the name implies “chocolate”, I taste no chocolate in this blend at all – I taste more the almond, chicory, and the subtle raspberry (I think that’s what it is) flavour – combining all these together makes for a nutty mate tea, which is really good because I like those types of flavours. This tea actually reminds me of the Coffee Pu’erh tea they have too, it is reminiscent of a slight coffee flavour, but not too much. Perhaps that is just me, but regardless this is a good tea and a staple at my house.

Really tasty and gives you the kick you need, more than a cup of coffee. I really like the combination of flavors (roasted flavor and almond/chicory is very noticeable but there is a hint of raspberry which goes so well with the rest of the contents) and it really helps me appreciate mate! Can also be enjoyed as a latte. No need to sweeten this one!

Very good. An odd flavour at first, but once you get used to it, it is refreshingly different! Also, who doesn’t love chocolate? This is great for an extra kick if you aren’t in the mood for coffee, since it has lots of caffeine

Lovely tea. I don’t get a lot of chocolate flavour, but the raspberry really comes out.
