For all the floral going on here it smells an awful like like apple pie.

So it does taste like apple pie as well, but with a hint of floral at the end of the sip. I enjoy the apple pie taste but not so much the floral. However, I thought this was going to be all floral (and I have determined I do not care for floral teas) so I’m excited it tastes like apple pie at all :)

The fiance said it tastes like cinnamon. He said he didn’t taste apple at all and it’s only because ours minds are trained to pair apples with cinnamon that I tasted apples. I still think it tastes like apple pie.

This is truly, actually a floral elixir. One of my favourite relaxing teas, The Glow has all the apple-cinnamon-y goodness of Forever Nuts but without the somewhat artificial-tasting baked goods flavouring. I can taste the cinnamon first and foremost, with the oat straw and the nettle leaf lurking somewhere underneath. If I REALLY try, I can taste the earthy sweetness of the rooibos – But I can’t see it, and it seems to be easily lost in this mix. I use this tea not only to relax but also to help with my allergies – the nettle leaf in it is supposed to be really good, and it definitely takes away some of the itchiness I get in my throat.
I can drink this one day and night, and often do – though my rating may be biased because I love floral teas and I love cinnamon, don’t be scared to give it a try! It truly is a beautiful blend.

I always forget how much I love this tea until I have it again. It bills itself as a floral tea, which is strange because I don’t get anything floral off of it. It tastes like apple pie, more than any “apple pie tea” I’ve ever tried. It’s just apple and a touch of cinnamon and sugar. It’s just a true cup of sweet before-bed comfort. Mmmmm.

Will have to get a slice of apple pie tomorrow at IKEA.

Mmmmm. This tastes like a cup of warm apple crumble, without any of the tartness of the apple. If this is really good for you, I will drink it by the bucket.

Steeped this with a touch of brown sugar last night, it was amazing. Trying not to have any caffeine after seven or so, and didn’t end up getting home until nine, but this was exactly what I was craving. I’m always a little thrown off when I reach for this one, because it looks like it would be very floral and the cinnamon scent is quite strong, but brewed up it all evens out into this delicious oatmeal crisp type flavour, very warming. Did the first steep at about four minutes, second one just over five, I think five would be better.

This is a delicious tea!! I guess this is what you would call a backlogged review as I had my cuppa after lunch this aft. It is a great balance of cinnamon and an apple flavour. Another DT that will be in my stash ongoing – YAY!

A backlogged cup as Steepster was not co-operating with me earlier :(. But a yummy cup it was none the less!!

This is just lovely!
It’s crisp as an iced tea – like a fresh raw apple sprinkled with cinnamon.
It’s super relaxing and I would have no idea there is rooibos in it if I didn’t look at the ingredients. A very unique and tasty tea, not overly flowery.
I’m not sure if I would like this as much hot as I do iced, I’ll have to try it hot some day!

Very mild tasting. Flavour reminds me of apples and cinnamon. The cinnamon taste itself is very mellow but definitely stands out as the primary flavour. None of the floral tastes really stand out with the rosehips coming through the most. The oat straw gives a smooth taste which is unique but not unpleasant.

One of my favourite bedtime teas. I’ve had this tea for awhile and drink it occasionally. I’m not sure if its really supposed to work many wonders on your skin but, what the heck, its tasty. :)

Wow, this is really nice! I picked up two of the “Wellness” teas and expected them just to be novelties. But, I am really enjoying Glow.

This feels like I am drinking comforting, milky oatmeal with cinnamon and apples. It’s so good and makes me feel warm and fuzzy. If any sort of complexion benefits resulted from drinking this it would be lovely, but the taste has me sold here. This is going to be a great bedtime tea, and also a great travel mug tea as it never started tasting weird during a long outing in my Libre.

I have bought this three separate times, and each time it’s tasted differently. Thankfully this latest is much more in line with the tasty first bit I bought. The middle baggie tasted a bit off.

I love this stuff. It can sit in water forever and never develop a weird flavour. It’s good before bed, in the bath, in class, at work, and indeed even in summer.

I think I have found a favourite bedtime tea. This is so soothing. Light and innocuous but cozy and tasty. Is there actually rooibos in this? I can’t really see any and can’t taste it, but I am guessing rooibos would tend to sink to the bottom. Whatever I’m drinking, I like it.

I stopped by a David’s Tea the other day to pick up a couple of teas for my mom for her birthday. This one appealed to me as it is caffeine free, intended for “glowing” skin and smells like apple pie…all things I knew she would love (she really loved this tea as well as the other one I bought her which was peppermint amour)! Naturally, we both had to try it! When hot, it smells like a warm apple pie or even a hot cup of cider. I was worried that the cinnamon would be too overpowering but it really wasn’t at all. In fact, all of the flavours were quite mild and this resulted in a nice cup of tea. The only complaint I have is that this tea may even be too mild. I would even add cinnamon sticks to this (like with apple cider) to increase the flavour. I can see myself drinking this a lot during the fall as a healthier alternative to apple pies and ciders; the fact that this is supposed to help in the health of hair/skin and to quench thirst is simply a bonus! As I am again using my phone, I can’t rate this tea but would give it an 85.

so, I ordered this tea, and I honestly had high hopes, and so I opend it smelled it and it kinda smelled like liquar with cinnamin?? the taste was like apple cider and so I added splenda! and then the taste was like a mcdonalds apple pie. the taste was okay, I tolerated it, but then somthing so strange happend! I got soooooo tired!! I dont know if i was just tired anyway but wow! I was tired so then I drank some mate main squeeze and poped back awake. I am kinda wondering if I am just diffrent because this tea got such high ratings and I just orderd jumpy monkey mate tea and that got not so good reveiws so I am really hoping I like it despite the reveiws about the awful smell and taste….hmmm we shall see…..did anyone else get tired from this tea??

This was the first David’s Tea I purchased – and simply because I was looking for a Nettle leaf tea. I love this tea. Pure and simple.

While it is labelled as a “floral elixir”, it is not overpoweringly floral. There is a distinct hit of rose and rosehips with a light touch of cinnamon.

As one who likes to sip on her teas with the leaves continuously steeping, this tea doesn’t become increasingly stronger or sour after an extended period of time. It seems to maintain a balanced state of tea zen.

I drink this every morning and I really do feel it does good for my skin from the inside out.

It is crisp, clean, refreshing – no nonsense or fuss, it holds its own. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a light, feel good tea.

On a side note: The tea-barista at the store, told me that she had soaked in a bath with this tea steeped to soothe her skin after a bad sunburn. Interesting.

This is very pretty to look at. It smells very nice, cinnamon, but not the tangy cinnamon I usually find in teas, this is more like a cinnamon apple…minus the apple. It’s warm and comforting without being spicy. The floral notes are a nice touch and it tastes just like it smells. Warm, comfortable cinnamon with roses and jasmine. Hopefully it’ll make me feel as pretty as this looks and get a good nights sleep, beauty sleep that is.

Every time I walk into/by/near a DAVIDsTEA it has a distinct smell and I feel this is exactly what it smells like (when brewed and tasted). I’ve been exploring all their herbals lately and The Glow has always been on my to try list. I brewed it for 4 mins and it turned out a nice mild, not overly powerful blend. Not looking at what’s in it but what I can pick out right away is cinnamon but it’s also blended very well with something floral.. that I cannot seem to pin point (also maybe because I am a tea newbie :P). Not a bad tea. I wonder if the health benefits are true because the cold air has been taking a toll on my already dry skin! :(

{backlogged review}

In all my joy and rush to complete my David’s tea wall and review them, I forgot to blog this one! I love The Glow, and was using it as a palette cleansing tea as I tried all the other new ones. Unsweetened I always feel like Glow lacks, but when I add some agave? Suddenly I have the most amazingly delicious oatmeal cookie tea. I’m actually sad I ran out of this one, I love the oats in it, especially in the afternoon when I’m kind of hungry but don’t want to actually find something to eat. This tea hits the spot in all the right ways for me. Plus, supposedly it is good for the skin. Whatever, I drink my teas for the flavour and not the side effects. If it is infact good for my skin, all the better.

ugh, David’s WHY did you have to re-do this blend? It has been changed and it is a lot more floral. Before I used to love this one because the oat and cinnamon gave it a really nice cookie flavour when you added agave. Now it was more rose than anything else. I didn’t and couldn’t finish more than half my cup. It may look prettier but yeah, it now tastes like ass. Changing my rating way down because of the new blend.

Not sure yet what I think about this tea, it is more cinnamon-y than I thought it would be and less floral. It is not a bad tea.
I decided to try a 2nd steeping and liked it much better. It got rid of some of the strong cinnamon taste and brought out the floral notes more. But, I steeped the first steeping too long I guess (4 min) because the 2nd steeping is a little weak.
Next time I will steep for only 2-3 minutes and then do a 2nd steep and see how that turns out!

The Glow was another tea forced upon me by a friend.

Bias – I would never of my own accord by a tea described as a “floral elixer”. Blech.

First impressions – well, I see rose petals in the mix. Not a good start… And yet, it doesn’t smell all too floral. The cinnamon definitely comes through, and the rest kind of blends together as its supporting cast. So far, so good. Steeped, the smell is kicked up a notch to cinammon-scented flowers. eehhhh. I don’t like it. And yet… I like it. It smells inviting and warming and comforting. If odd and slightly agressive.

Flavour – huh, that’s not what I expected. It’s not that disgusting. Second cup: Hmm, that’s actually quite enjoyable. 15 cups later: Wonderful. Light and mellow, wonderfully calming, and all the flavors blend together instead of fighting for supremacy. Very nice!

Loveability – OK, I’ll admit it. I love a “floral elixer”. Especially before bed or when I need to unwind after a crappy day. This tea wins the award for Most Surprising Outcome. Oh, and I love the fact that you cannot ruin this tea no matter how you steep it. It’s fuss-free! A definate buy.

Smells like apple crisp, which is odd since there’s no apples. The cinnamon really comes through in the smell and taste. Overall, the taste is very light, not as floral as would be expected considering the roses and jasmine flowers. I find that I need to put a larger quantity of tea in my filter and leave it in longer in order for it to taste at all. Makes a nice cup for a mellow afternoon or evening, though perhaps not as intense a flavour as I would have hoped for.

This tea is great. Since I’ve started drinking it, I am literally glowing. I save hundreds of dollars in electricity because I no longer require nightlights and I am GREAT at standing on cliffs and guiding ships safely home to harbor.

No but actually, it’s delicious. The claims are a little overblown, but I don’t even care because it just tastes sooo good. It’s okay iced, but warm it’s as comforting as an oatmeal cookie but elegant and graceful and floral and I am surprised by how much I enjoy it.

The smell of the dry leaf translates really well into the brewed tea. It’s balance of cinnamon, sweetness, and nature. I don’t really get apple – it’s our go to cinnamon partner fruit, but this is more generic. At the risk of sounding like a crazy person, you feel this tea more than you taste it. I can’t taste the nettles and rooibos, for example, but I can feel their presence in the flavor.

Aesthetically, it is a beautiful tea, and making it feels luxurious. There are roses in it! Look at you, drinking a tea with roses! Who are you, the queen?

Yes, yes you are. You owe yourself this tea.

I’m a little disappointed with this one because I tought it would taste very flowery. It tastes more like apple pie, as someone mentionned. It’s good anyway, just not what I thought it would be.
