This is truly, actually a floral elixir. One of my favourite relaxing teas, The Glow has all the apple-cinnamon-y goodness of Forever Nuts but without the somewhat artificial-tasting baked goods flavouring. I can taste the cinnamon first and foremost, with the oat straw and the nettle leaf lurking somewhere underneath. If I REALLY try, I can taste the earthy sweetness of the rooibos – But I can’t see it, and it seems to be easily lost in this mix. I use this tea not only to relax but also to help with my allergies – the nettle leaf in it is supposed to be really good, and it definitely takes away some of the itchiness I get in my throat.
I can drink this one day and night, and often do – though my rating may be biased because I love floral teas and I love cinnamon, don’t be scared to give it a try! It truly is a beautiful blend.

did this do anything for ur skin complextion or your mood?

Arié Moyal

@crazy4u It has lots of depression fighting ingredients – just not sure how well it works at the concentrations that exist

This is just lovely!
It’s crisp as an iced tea – like a fresh raw apple sprinkled with cinnamon.
It’s super relaxing and I would have no idea there is rooibos in it if I didn’t look at the ingredients. A very unique and tasty tea, not overly flowery.
I’m not sure if I would like this as much hot as I do iced, I’ll have to try it hot some day!

Very mild tasting. Flavour reminds me of apples and cinnamon. The cinnamon taste itself is very mellow but definitely stands out as the primary flavour. None of the floral tastes really stand out with the rosehips coming through the most. The oat straw gives a smooth taste which is unique but not unpleasant.

One of my favourite bedtime teas. I’ve had this tea for awhile and drink it occasionally. I’m not sure if its really supposed to work many wonders on your skin but, what the heck, its tasty. :)

Mélissa

It’s always backordered here, whyyyy?

crazy4u

I looked up all the ingrediance and everything in it is supposed to help with complextion, energy, detoxing, and antidepresant properties have you noticed anything like that?

noordelijk

@crazy4u no I haven’t but I think you’d have to drink a couple cups of it a day before you really could notice anything. Of course complexion/detox/mood are always affected by what you eat as well so if you pair this tea with an unhealthy diet it surely would not do much.

I stopped by a David’s Tea the other day to pick up a couple of teas for my mom for her birthday. This one appealed to me as it is caffeine free, intended for “glowing” skin and smells like apple pie…all things I knew she would love (she really loved this tea as well as the other one I bought her which was peppermint amour)! Naturally, we both had to try it! When hot, it smells like a warm apple pie or even a hot cup of cider. I was worried that the cinnamon would be too overpowering but it really wasn’t at all. In fact, all of the flavours were quite mild and this resulted in a nice cup of tea. The only complaint I have is that this tea may even be too mild. I would even add cinnamon sticks to this (like with apple cider) to increase the flavour. I can see myself drinking this a lot during the fall as a healthier alternative to apple pies and ciders; the fact that this is supposed to help in the health of hair/skin and to quench thirst is simply a bonus! As I am again using my phone, I can’t rate this tea but would give it an 85.

so, I ordered this tea, and I honestly had high hopes, and so I opend it smelled it and it kinda smelled like liquar with cinnamin?? the taste was like apple cider and so I added splenda! and then the taste was like a mcdonalds apple pie. the taste was okay, I tolerated it, but then somthing so strange happend! I got soooooo tired!! I dont know if i was just tired anyway but wow! I was tired so then I drank some mate main squeeze and poped back awake. I am kinda wondering if I am just diffrent because this tea got such high ratings and I just orderd jumpy monkey mate tea and that got not so good reveiws so I am really hoping I like it despite the reveiws about the awful smell and taste….hmmm we shall see…..did anyone else get tired from this tea??

This was the first David’s Tea I purchased – and simply because I was looking for a Nettle leaf tea. I love this tea. Pure and simple.

While it is labelled as a “floral elixir”, it is not overpoweringly floral. There is a distinct hit of rose and rosehips with a light touch of cinnamon.

As one who likes to sip on her teas with the leaves continuously steeping, this tea doesn’t become increasingly stronger or sour after an extended period of time. It seems to maintain a balanced state of tea zen.

I drink this every morning and I really do feel it does good for my skin from the inside out.

It is crisp, clean, refreshing – no nonsense or fuss, it holds its own. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a light, feel good tea.

On a side note: The tea-barista at the store, told me that she had soaked in a bath with this tea steeped to soothe her skin after a bad sunburn. Interesting.

This is very pretty to look at. It smells very nice, cinnamon, but not the tangy cinnamon I usually find in teas, this is more like a cinnamon apple…minus the apple. It’s warm and comforting without being spicy. The floral notes are a nice touch and it tastes just like it smells. Warm, comfortable cinnamon with roses and jasmine. Hopefully it’ll make me feel as pretty as this looks and get a good nights sleep, beauty sleep that is.

Every time I walk into/by/near a DAVIDsTEA it has a distinct smell and I feel this is exactly what it smells like (when brewed and tasted). I’ve been exploring all their herbals lately and The Glow has always been on my to try list. I brewed it for 4 mins and it turned out a nice mild, not overly powerful blend. Not looking at what’s in it but what I can pick out right away is cinnamon but it’s also blended very well with something floral.. that I cannot seem to pin point (also maybe because I am a tea newbie :P). Not a bad tea. I wonder if the health benefits are true because the cold air has been taking a toll on my already dry skin! :(

Not sure yet what I think about this tea, it is more cinnamon-y than I thought it would be and less floral. It is not a bad tea.
I decided to try a 2nd steeping and liked it much better. It got rid of some of the strong cinnamon taste and brought out the floral notes more. But, I steeped the first steeping too long I guess (4 min) because the 2nd steeping is a little weak.
Next time I will steep for only 2-3 minutes and then do a 2nd steep and see how that turns out!
