From DAVIDsTEA

Now that’s fresh.

When it comes to rooibos, some say green is the new red. Because while red rooibos tastes great, some say the new wave of unoxidized green rooibos is even better. What’s so special? The production process, which is similar to that of green tea, gives it a smooth, fresh taste. Here we’ve topped it up with the tropical flavours of papaya, apple, mango and peach.

Ingredients: South African green and red rooibos, apple, mango, papaya.

This tea is definitely for people who like straight up Rooibos taste with a twist.

This is definitely in my list of favourites. On my first visit to David’s tea I asked them to find me something that would be similar to Mighty Leaf “Green Tea Tropical”. They suggested Green and Fruity. I loved it. It has a sort of peach, passion fruit, apple, papaya, mango fruit zing. I was really reluctant to give green rooibus a try but I really enjoyed it. I find it very similar to Life Long Oolong but much cheaper. I’ve been tempted to try Southern Belle but I think it would be too peachy and this one has more of the tropical notes that I like. After drinking this tea fairly regularly I went back to try a mighty leaf tea and found it sooo bitter and tannic – David has converted me.

If you know the smell and taste of peaches and cream instant oatmeal this is it in a tea version! Perfect for a cold day and if you’re in need of a snack it makes you feel like you’ve had something because of the reminder filling oatmeal.

Fantastic. Smells like fruit punch and has an excellent taste. Seems like it should be great iced as well.

When I smelled it, I thought of Five Alive and tropical punches.

The taste certainly backed this up, however I found it to be a little… hollow in taste. It seemed to me like something was missing in the flavour profile that was stopping it from being amazing. Still, it was a good drink.
