From DAVIDsTEA

A smile a sip.
One sip of this sweet, rich rooibos blend and you’ll know spring is right around the corner. It could be the sunny taste of pineapple, or the exotic creaminess of coconut. It could be the pretty calendula and cornflower petals. Then again, it might just be the jellybeans. You heard us right, jellybeans – that’s what gives this tea its irresistibly sweet and fruity kick. So why do jellybeans remind us of spring? Because they make us happy. Why else?

Ingredients: Red rooibos, coconut, pineapple, calendula, strawberries, cornflowers, and jelly beans.

Husband has the flu and has been asking—okay, more like pleading in between feeble coughs—for cup after cup of this tea. So much so that our 20g bag was cleaned out and we’ve only had it for a couple days! Thus, I went to the store and purchased a 100g tin… but only got 2 jellybeans in the whole tin! Sadness. Lots of candied pineapple though.

Thank you Tattooed_tea!
This is a pretty rooibos with all the colors and petals in it. This has a weird fruit flavor to it. It kind of reminds me of fruit punch. I can taste pineapple and coconut. And maybe a bit of vanilla. There is different fruit flavors with each sip but that darn coconut just keeps wanting to over power them. I like it and I’m happy I got a chance to try it, but this may be one of those teas I just don’t run and order right now.

I am going to David’s in Westboro tomorrow but by happy coincidence we were helping out my SIL with her courier company and needed to be in the city today. And we just happened to be near David’s. Yippee. So I convinced hubby that I needed to stop to run in and get a to go tea. And this was one of the tea’s of the day. I really enjoyed this. Hubby even threatened to steal it from me. Can’t wait to buy some tomorrow.
Unfortunately they didn’t have Paradise Found ready to sample yet so I couldn’t try it but the guy that served me said that I was a regular at the store so he would make sure I got to try it next time I’m in. I haven’t been in the store for over a month and I was still remembered. Love the customer service at David’s.

I had a bit of a sad day yesterday, so I hoped my first cup of jolly jellybean would bring some happiness. I put the recommended 2 scoops into the steeper, and had 3 jelly beans hiding in the scoops! Yay for getting a good bag! It smelled fantastic as it was brewing, a nice sweet jelly bean smell. The tea streamed out of the steeper and into my double walled tea glass (the best way to use the steeper is with glass, it makes it that much more enjoyable, promise!), and the tea was a nice earthy orange. So expectations were high.
After the whole glass, I was a left a bit wanting. It tastes nice, but I had that first glass naked and I think it could really benefit from a good dollop of agave. Will try again sweetened before rating.

this tea is not one of my favorite. I really enjoyed it at first but after a few weeks, it got kinda old. the smell is great. to me it smells like a fruityish (ya i know its not a word :P ), jelly bean smell. Once you drink it tho, it tastes like jelly beans and rooibos. I don’t use sweetener for this tea because i find it kinda sweet already. I’ve had this tea hot and cold and they are both alright. This tea is not at the bottom of my list, but for sure not at the top. If you are thinking of buying this tea, i would get 20 grams and if you really like it, buy more :)

I figure this tea would be more of a novelty than anything – jellybeans in it? I got it anyways as I quite like rooibos with citrus in it.

Smell – creamy, sweet, pineapple – mouth watering smell. Very pretty with yellow and blue petals and strawberries.

For steeping, I made sure to get a jellybean in there and I was surprised it melted about 80%, just some jelly blob left. They are “Jellybelly” brand beans (if your batch got burned without beans.. you could maybe just add some, I dunno).
Brews into a typical red rooibos colour with a scent of pineapple.

Taste – well.. rooibosy, and coconut with a hint of fruity tart and vanilla, overall mild. I don’t taste the pineapple that much, mostly in the scent of the tea. I had a yellow jellybean in this scoop, but I’m not sure if it added anything to it or colour of jellybean would change the tea.

Overall, if you like novelty teas, rooibos and vanilla – this one tea is pretty neat.

I was hoping for either more of a pineapple, stronger fruit or creamy taste (not vanilla creamy taste). Not my kind of tea as I find it too light and the combination of flavours doesn’t do it for me. I wish this tea tasted more like what it smells.

Jolly Jellybean is a tea that I wasn’t certain I wanted to try because I thought for sure it was going to have a candy sweet taste to it and I’m not a fan of sugary teas. However, my curiosity got the better of me and I bought 50g. Can I tell you how thankful I am that my curiosity took over! It’s so tasty with or without a jellybean. I have plenty of those little guys in my tin but I use them sparingly because it just seems like an extra treat when I add one to my tea. The flavor of this tea is fantastic. Will I buy more? You bet!!

I like this tea, not love it, but I like it. The dry scent of the leaves really draw me in, just because of it’s sweet and fresh smell (to me anyway).

When steeped, I found that this tea is OK, maybe I don’t like the red rooibos that much. I think if the tea was made with green rooibos, I would like it better. The round flavour of the red rooibos is overpowering at times and I barely taste the sweetness from the pineapple/other flavours.

Overall I like it just because I really like the smell and taste. Unfortunately it’s not a favourite :(

Fruity and very sweet tasting. This was a big hit with the kids, and while I don’t really care for it hot it makes a completely delicious ice tea, no additional sweetener needed. This is a perfect ice tea for the warm weather and satisfies my sweet tooth.

nice! pretty light flavour, i made a big pot so i probably could’ve put in an extra scoop.
lots of pretty jelly beans in my 25g bag that came in the spring collection box, but i’m sure this tea would be just fine if it didn’t have the actual jellybeans, it’s just a nice, fun novelty addition and i think it works.
nice rooibos flavour base and the pineapple really comes through
