Maté with a twist
Need a little help getting up in the morning? So did we – until we tried waking up to this sunny maté blend, with lemongrass, lemon myrtle, lemon zest and pretty yellow calendula petals. It’s light, smooth and refreshingly citrusy, with a welcome energy boost from green yerba maté. So steep yourself a little sunshine – it might just make you a morning person.

For someone who isn’t a coffee drinker (like myself), this is the perfect solution. Simply the zest is my new morning go-to tea for energy. I recently just got 50 grams of this tea to try out, and I already know that I want a tin of this delicious and very much useful tea. Aside from the amazing fact that it wakes me up, the taste of simply the zest is subtle and soothing. Its like you don’t expect this tea to pack a punch of energy. I really love the lemongrass. I am looking forward to trying out other mate teas in the future. I love brewing this by the pot when I am studying.

The lemon flavour comes out very clearly. It really works to brighten the whole flavour of the tea and cleanses the palette of the heavy earthy aftertaste often associated with a maté.
Great for a summer tea, and the caffeine boost is an added bonus for those early morning commutes :)
