Smells amazingly cake batter-like. Tastes like typical honeybush. That’s it! Not worth it to me!

Also, all those sprinkles still will not make this tea remotely sweet. So expect to have to sweeten it unless you like plain honeybush!

I haven’t yet met a rooibos I don’t like. And this is no exception. Pleasantly cakey without being overboard, I’m hoping this will be good for satisfying the dessert cravings, my waistline needs no more actual cake.

First Tea Review Woot! Because it was my anniversary the lovely boyfriend took me tea shopping. ( Yes I know he’s wonderful) I couldn’t decide what to get so he ended up getting me all 6 of the flavours that sounded really yummy.I know he’s Mr.Right, he also got me an infuser. The sales associate in David’s Teas let me sniff this one. It smelled a bit weird or maybe that’s just me perhaps. I was slightly afraid to try it. Well new things do scare me. But I made a cup with milk, and it tasted really yummy. Not to sweet, but just right and because I was having a bad day it comforted me. I could taste the different flavours and it partly tasted like butter-cream. Did taste some maple, but didn’t mind that. I would come back to this tea again.

Ok, so I never do multiple reviews for teas but this review is for the Birthday Cake white chocolate bar offered by David’s . I didn’t see a separate entry for it so it’s going with the tea. If anyone knows of a separate entry, let me know.

I bought 2 different chocolate cares- $10 for 2 bars. Expensive, I know, but it was after work and I was craving some chocolate. I ripped open the bar and was greeted by a beautiful white chocolate bar with colourful sprinkles embedded. It reminded me quite a bit of a Hershey’s cookies and cream chocolate bar. When I bit into it, there was the wonderful crunch from the sprinkles, and a vanilla and maple taste from the bar. Delicious and sweet., and great for a treat. Totally recommend, although as mentioned, pricey.

I am thoroughly impressed and pleased :)
I added a bit of double double coffee mate my second time,
and it has replaced my dessert.
Of course I want to dunk my chocolate fudge covered cookies in it… but this will do for the next couple weeks while I’m trying to get back to my original weight.

This tea makes everyday a party. It has a delicious rooibos flavor without being too rooibos-y (I don’t know if it is just me, but sometimes I feel rooibos can taste too much like a bush) mixed with vanilla and cream.

I love it in a latte with a bit of agave. I can see how people say it is like Oh Canada, but I like this one a lot better for whatever reason. It is better with milk, I prefer Oh Canada straight.

This one just SMELLS delish the moment I opened the bag. I added a bit of milk (I can’t remember if I added sugar) and I loved it. Only it was a wee bit on the weak side, so I might have to either add more tea or steep it longer (because I can’t remember how long I steeped it for).

I liked this tea, but it was so much like Oh Canada, and I like that one better anyhow. So, really fun and sweet like a proper cake tea should be! I don’t know if I would get it again though.

Well unfortunately I’m not a fan of birthday cake tea. I’m not sure why but I really didn’t taste birthday cake or icing or anything remotely cakey. It was just sweet. Mind you, it was NOWHERE as sweet as ice cream cake tea yet it was still too sweet for my liking. Of the three cake teas, I do like chocolate cake. It’s very odd how one can appeal to me but not the other two. Not wanting to waste my 100g tin of it, I gave it to somebody who was more than happy to take it off my hands. It makes me happy to know it went to a loving home. :-) So sadly I must say no, I would not buy this tea again.

I have fallen in love with this tea all over again… as a latte! I’m amazed at how good this is as a latte. I love adding a bit of agave to it, even though it doesn’t really need it, but I find that I love sweet lattes.

Anyways, highly recommend. So yummy

Oh yeah, so good!
