Tea Canteen from DAVIDsTEA

Tea Canteen

Sometimes the simplest designs conceal the most functionality. Take this unassumingly sleek travel mug. Sure, one glance is all it takes to tell that it’s super-durable and stylish. But would you guess its silicone-accented, twist-on lid is 100% leakproof? Or that its double-walled design keeps your tea piping hot for up to 6 hours? This stainless steel, BPA-free beauty is definitely more than meets the eye. Would you accept anything less for your favourite drink? Latex free. (capacity: 15oz/444ml)

I love this. I don’t bring tea in this, ‘cos I don’t want aroma’s or flavours mixed together. So I boil some H20 to bring to work in it and infuse the flavour/tea of the day in a different cup. I refill the canteen with H20 when needed.

I love the simple, clean lines of the design. But even more, I love how it keeps H20 hot. One of my best buys.

i love this one, i just wish it had an infuser in it! it keeps the tea superhot like a timolino, and is so much bigger than the timolino, but i’m not a huge fan of using tea filter bags.

I’m not a fan of filter bags either. I just use this to transport or keep water hot. No tea due to fear of cross-contamination.

My fiance and I each got one of these for Christmas. We both wanted a spill-proof, leak proof vessel to take tea (iced tea for the fiance – hot drink hater!) to work or on hikes in. We looked at the Timolinos, but decided this would be more practical for our purposes.

I love this travel mug! I’ve never had a perfectly spill proof mug before, and it’s fantastic. I never have to worry about my car or purse getting tea stained. Plus, this really does keep tea steaming hot for hours, even when it’s freezing outside.

My only complaint is that the opening of this canteen is just narrow enough where I can’t fit my smallest infuser in it. I have to either brew tea outside the canteen or use a fillable tea bag. Despite that, I’m really happy I got this.

YAY! I’m glad you like it. :-) I just wish they made the opening just the tiniest bit bigger. Then this would be perfect…

Love it! I often use it to hold extra hot water (since I take a travel mug with already brewed tea), and make tea at work. Great size, perfect for one good sized mug of tea. Love the top handle, everything screws on tight, it doesn’t leak (thank goodness!). Great for a trip out and about, or to take along with your lunch.

The only downfall is it’s not dishwasher safe.

I picked this up on sale and was instantly attracted to the handle on top of the lid and it’s fairly small size. I have the option of easily throwing it in my bag (and not worrying about spillage at all) or carrying it around by the handle. The outside doesn’t heat up, even when the tea inside is boiling hot (which it remains for hours) so no burning your hands.

Only one complaint: the opening is on the small side. This is great for sipping but not so great for actually brewing tea. I had to go out and buy a tea ball because brewing my tea in something else and transferring it is too much work + too many dishes for me in the morning. This is really only a small complaint, because the tea ball does the trick.
