I actually really love this tea iced. I was pleasantly surprised by how much it tasted like cotton candy! There was a mild aftertaste of mango but honestly “cotton candy rooibos” pretty much describes the flavor. If you like cotton candy as much as I do you will also probably enjoy this.
It is not good re-steeped more than once though.

Seems like I’m the minority here who’s not a huge fan of this tea. It’s… ok. If I’m going for a sweet rooibos, I’d rather just have David’s Tea Birthday Cake. I tried making it iced and it just tasted really watered down (although that might be my fault. I’m not the best at getting the ratios right for iced tea). Overall reaction: “meh.”

This tea is delicious iced. This is a very sweet blend of I guess mango and green rooibos. Not entirely sure where they get cotton candy from as I don’t think that was mango flavored. I guess they get the cotton candy from the added sugar to this tea. It is sweet and very good iced. I bought their iced tea pack of this when it was on sale for $2.50. So I brewed 64 oz of this overnight in the fridge with one pre measured package of tea. This is tasty enough iced that I would consider a purchase for iced tea purposes. I don’t know how good this would be hot.

I absolutly love this tea iced!!!! I have tried hot as well and its still delicious. This tea is also great for kids given its caffine free and pretty healthy, my younger sister loves it i make it her 2-3 times a day haha.

I’m not sure how I feel about this one. I did like it, but I wanted to love it. I just had one sample packet of it to make, and I really wish I had another. I want to try it again to figure out whether I want to buy it or not. Hmmm.

One thing about this tea that some people might be opposed to is that it was pretty murky. Like… it made the water more opaque than see through. That doesn’t bother me, but just a heads up, if this bothers you.

So I went to the store yesterday and they happened to have this tea as one of the TOTD (tea of the day), so I decided to get it as my $1 iced tea. This tea straight tastes pretty good, despite my expectations. I never bothered trying it last year, but since it was so popular, I thought I might as well. It tastes just like the name, cotton candy. It’s sweet without being overly sweet. Actually, this is probably one of the first teas I don’t need any sweetener added to. I could drink it straight. And it would likely be good any way you want to prepare it (hot, latte, iced) Overall I decided to actually buy some, so its winning me over.

Tasty, but it is time for a sipdown. I used the last 2 tsp for coldbrew 1.5 L of tea. It was delicious and makes a nice iced tea.

Made this one as a latte with the vanilla almond/cashew/pea milk that I recently purchased (it’s Silk brand and I would highly recommend, 10g of protein per cup and it tastes delicious). Added a shot of Birthday Cake matcha from 3 Leaf (inspired by a post in the DT Facebook group), and it is divine. It tastes like cake batter and it’s quite a treat.

So. At the tea festival, I bought three clear glass travel containers: two with glass interior and plastic exterior and one with double glass. When I was living in China, I had a fantastic clear plastic one that was a daily workhorse. I haven’t been able to find one like it here, so I keep buying and hoping.

My intention was to use them for continuous in-jar steepings and cold steeps, the latter being a novelty for me.

This tea was not a hit for me hot, so it seemed like a good candidate for cold experimentation. And it was. Score!

I used about one and a half or two spoons per 14 oz approximately and left it near a frosty window overnight.

It tastes good. Very close to candy floss, with all the imitation flavours that one can expect from that as well.

And now this tea is gone. I won’t be repurchasing it.
