From DAVIDsTEA

From apple pie to spice cake, fall is truly a season of desserts. And one concoction rules them all. After all, what could be better than a slice of pumpkin cheesecake? With all the warm spice of a classic pumpkin pie, a decadently creamy base and a toasty graham cracker crust, it’s the ultimate seasonal treat. And this sweet and comforting rooibos is just as good as the real thing. Blending maple sugar, white chocolate, pumpkin and spice, it’s dessert in a cup. Limited edition!

Ingredients: Rooibos, honeybush, green rooibos, maple sugar, carrot, cinnamon, white chocolate, safflower, pumpkin, nutmeg, natural and artificial pumpkin flavoring

Admittingly, this tea wins as the best pumpkin tea from DT. I’m a huge lover of all things pumpkin, and even DT’s Pumpkin Chai, but there’s something about Pumpkin Cheesecake that takes the win. It might just be because it’s rooibos, making it caffeine free (win!) or even the sweet hints of white chocolate, but the combination of everything just makes it smooth and a little less spicy than Pumpkin Chai. I would definitely recommend this and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they’ll bring it back this fall. I also recommend adding some milk too.

Sipdown!

I’m definitely drinking this tea about 6 months too late, though leftover turkey from Easter dinner can make me pretend it’s Thanksgiving. This is a really nice sipping tea. A subtle cinnamon-y pumpkin flavour that leaves you with a spiced aftertaste. Pumpkin is not usually a favourite of mine, but this goes down nicely. Not getting a whole lot of cheesecake though. I can see this being a really nice accompaniment to a walk sometime towards the end of September or beginning of October; it might even be worth buying a tad to do just that. All in all, it’s just the wrong time of year.

I had a second eye surgery on Wednesday of last week. Well, last night was the first night I wanted to make myself something fancy with tea. So I whipped up a tea latte with this tea. I got a lot of great cheesecake flavor with this method and pumpkin too! Will def. try again!

A creamy treat. I love this rooibos for late nights when I have to spend time online. Tonight I was selling off some MAC treats in order to get some $ for my new addiction – Asian beauty products :)

This light, flavourful, fragrant tea smells and tastes just like a piece of homemade pumpkin cheesecake. I won’t be using this tea much during spring and summer (just around the corner!)

Brews – deep amber brown/red
Fragrance – crisp, pumpkin, squash, sweet

Served hot with milk

Flavors: Butternut Squash, Creamy, Pumpkin, Smooth, Spices

I have some doing it’s thing in my Libre tea flask and time could not be going by more slowly. I want this tea now! I love the mysterious pumpkin curry aroma and the genuine squashy flavor. This isn’t a mere “Pumpkin Spice” riff on cinnamon, this is some serious up in the patch all nite Charlie Brown realness. Add discrete amounts of brown sugar and milk. Cold weather only.

I was so excited when I first saw this. I actually waited through it going out of stock twice so I could order it. And … I sort of forgot that I’m not a huge fan of pumpkin flavored things. I always do this – fall comes, there’s pumpkin everything, and I buy it thinking it will be delicious.

This isn’t a bad tea. The scent of the dry leaf is kind of musty and harsh to me. Brewed and with some creamer added, it’s vaguely pumpkin and smooth. A decent, zone-out-and-drink-me tea.

I personally like really flavorful teas— especially if they boast a super-specific name like “pumpkin cheesecake”. This tea tastes good, and is really smooth, but if you’re excited to try/buy this just based on its name, you will be disappointed. I will gladly drink this until it’s gone, but I don’t think I will purchase it again.

OMGoodness… So good! I am loving that I’ve got so many teas I haven’t tried yet ‘cause of being pregnant. So here’s this one!

I loved the pumpkin and the spicey-ness of this one. It was just a very good steep. At first I wasn’t sure about it but as the cup went on, the flavours came out more and more and I really enjoyed it. I know that this one won’t stay in the cupboard too long.

I don’t know why I haven’t reviewed this one until now… Definitely one of my favourite fall releases from this year. I love Pumpkin Chai, but wished I could drink it later at night – and voila, here comes a caffiene-free pumpkin blend! I don’t know if I really get any cheesecake flavour out of this, but it’s a nice addition to my rooibos collection (because I can’t taste the rooibos base, LOL).

A whole bunch of my notes from the past few months have disappeared, including this one. I just found this draft in my e-mail.

I had this tea to go from the store. The scent of dry leaf reminds me of the pumpkin chai – lots of cinnamon. The clerk said that it reminds her of the gingerbread tea from last winter, but I don’t recall having it. I think I oversteeped because the flavor was mostly warm cinnamon with a pumpkin undercurrent and no creaminess to speak of. Tasty, but not cheesecakey. I did not feel the need to buy any for home.
