From DAVIDsTEA

Boost your focus & creativity with this uplifting light-bodied floral blend. We’ve brought together warming ginger, focus-boosting jasmine and energizing matcha for a taste experience that’s revitalising and not overly spicy. In fact, with no flavouring, this is one of our most refreshing teas yet.

What makes it great

Features ginger – used for centuries in traditional medicine for its warming properties.

We put aromatic jasmine in this tea to help uplift and lighten your mood while boosting focus & creativity.

Also made with matcha, an energizing green tea powder rich in L-theanine – a unique amino acid that helps you feel calm & yet alert.

Ginger, Jasmine tea (green tea, jasmine flower), Candied ginger (cane sugar, ginger), Apple, Sweet blackberry leaf, Matcha green tea, Cornflower petals.

How it tastes
Light-bodied blend of sweet & floral jasmine.

(DavidsTea 73)

Made another order, which just arrived today, and included 4 new-to-me teas, including this one! I really don’t know why I picked this up in 50g size, but… here we are. I plan to send the remainder to my mother, who I suspect will enjoy this more than me.

This is really quite what you’d expect – green base with ginger and jasmine. I didn’t even know it contained matcha until I read Roswell Strange’s tasting note – so let’s just say it’s not a dominant flavour. I enjoyed that the ginger and jasmine seemed fairly well-balanced, which is probably going to be a product of infusion time more than anything.

Overall, a pleasant green tea blend, but not overly special.

I’ve been kind of AWOL the last few years. A mix of life just getting busy after university and not drinking many new teas as I was (and still am) trying to get my cupboard down.

I got this one for Christmas. I have been on an unsuccessful hunt to find a ginger tea that really packs a ginger punch. Unfortuantely this isn’t quite there. Overall, all the flavours and pretty mellow while still being present in a way that very much works but isn’t necessarily what I’m looking for. I definitely enjoyed it, but don’t think this is on my list to rebuy.

J is for… Jasmine Ginger Twist!

I didn’t want a super jasmine heavy day of J teas, but this seemed like an excuse to steep up this tea that I should latch onto – I think this blend would slip my mind otherwise since it’s all flavours that I don’t naturally gravitate towards. Plus it was a good twisted interpretation on a jasmine tea – pun intended.

I steeped my mug up light, and that let more jasmine come through and less ginger. The top of the sip was all delicate, sweet jasmine/fresh florals but the finish was peppery and ticklish warming ginger – not a favourite, but an interesting and well balanced combination of flavours that probably shouldn’t work together but kind of do. I sipped on my mug while making supper, and it was relaxing and tasty in that setting.

Friendly reminder that I do not numerically rate DAVIDsTEA blends as I’m currently employed there and it would be an obvious conflict of interest. Any blends you see with numerical ratings were rated prior to my employment there. These reviews are a reflection of my personal thoughts and feelings regarding the teas, and not the company’s.
