From Della Terra Teas

One of the best things about sitting around a fire are of course, the S’mores! We’ve captured all that is amazing about a melty gooey S’more in this black tea! You’ll taste the familiar tastes of marshmallow, graham cracker and chocolate. So, even when you aren’t outside by a crackling campire you can enjoy the delicious taste of a S’more anytime!

Ingredients: Black tea, chocolate bits, chocolate flavor, mini marshmallows, marshmallow and graham flavoring, finely crushed graham crackers

Suggested brewing tips:

Serving Size: 1 level tsp./6oz serving

Water Temp: 210°F

Steep Time: 2- 3 minutes

I know I wrote a review on this. WHERE did it go!??!
In fact, I remember comparing it to the same tea type from Teaopia. Odd.
Anyhow… holy shmallow! oh, yesssss it really comes out here. No graham cracker, sadly.
Unfortunately, it reminds me of an artificial Assam, as I find Assams often have similar, natural notes.
That said, it was a lovely tea! Requiring milk and sugar of course :)

So I threw this into my Della Terra order because it had good reviews. I was wary, because the Toasted Marshmallow tea from DavidsTea was fail for me.
I brewed this up one lazy afternoon because I wanted something new. First sip: OMG YUM! MARSHMALLOWS! It’s sweet and chocolatey in the sip, then as you swallow it’s like sugary sweet, marshmallow goodness. Like, EXACTLY like marshmallow. It’s uncanny; this is one of the most accurately flavoured teas I’ve had. I’m going through this bag pretty quickly because I just keep making it and forsaking all my other teas. I can’t say that I get graham cracker from this, but that’s okay with me. Chocolate and marshmallow are nothing to complain about, especially when done this well.

Exciting! DT’s version was a total bust for me too, and I just ordered this one from Della Terra as well – hoping for the same reaction as you!

TheKesser

Is this anything like the Teaopia S’mores?

PatchworkSheep

I’m not sure, I haven’t had anything from Teopia. If you like sweet dessert teas though, I’d definitely try this one.

Kittenna

My suspicion is that this is better than Teaopia’s Fireside S’mores (which is better than DavidsTea’s Toasted Marshmallow!)

It’s such a beautiful day here today, nice and sunny with Carolina blue skies and a slight breeze. We had lunch at The Secret Tea Room and it was wonderful, as always. They have the best coconut macaroons and I ordered some to bring home. I would love to take a nap right now but need to go walk my mom’s dogs and check on the kitties at Petsmart. And we’re going somewhere to watch the basketball games tonight. I am hoping this tea will wake me up a little!

This tea smells like sweet marshmallow. I can smell it before I even open up the package! The flavor is malty with a sweet chocolate finish. There is a rich aftertaste of s’mores – the taste of it is dead on with an actual s’more. I really love that you can taste the malty, somewhat strong black tea at first and then there’s the sweetness of the s’mores flavor left lingering at the end. With a little milk and sweetener this becomes a silky smooth cup. I am seriously loving this tea right now! This is every bit as good as David’s Toasted Marshmallow, if not a tad bit better because it doesn’t seem quite so artificial. My fiancee is sitting right next to me, happily sipping away also, so it’s a winner for both of us!

Good thing I love this tea – I just received a swap package from whatshesaid and forgot she was sending some of this, and I also ordered it as one of my try-me packs. It will probably all be gone tomorrow! Thank you, whatshesaid! :)

-Dry blend has medium black tea leaves and twigs with small marshmallows, small chocolate chips and fine graham cracker crumbs.
-Dry leaves smell like sweet marshmallows with a hint of chocolate. Tea liquor aroma is of black tea, marshmallows and milk chocolate.
-Tea liquor is a cloudy medium brown color.
-Malty flavor with a sweet chocolate finish. Rich s’mores aftertaste.
-Best with sweetener. Milk optional.
-Excellent tea. A silky smooth cup of sweet marshmallow and chocolate.

My very first tea from Della Terra Teas! I’m very excited after reading many of the great reviews.
I first taste the black tea base. It’s not bitter.. but just very present. That taste quickly changes into a smooth milk chocolate with a little bit of graham cracker. This tea reminds me of a cereal I had when I was younger. I can’t think of WHAT cereal it is, though. The strange thing that happens is that none of the flavors stick around for a long time. They fade very quickly and don’t leave a really memorable taste. I was expecting a tea like Teaopia’s Fireside S’mores — that one still remains my top S’mores/graham cracker flavored tea. This blend isn’t all that bad.. it’s just not memorable & lacks the graham cracker/marshmallow flavors I want.

I get graham crackers, then marshmallows, then chocolate, and, finally, black tea. This is S’mores in a cup and it’s simply awesome. Still have yet to try as a latte.

Ooh I just ordered this. You make me feel like I made the right choice. Are the marshmallows and such ultra sweet and make the liquor really murky? I hope it won’t be too much like many DT teas in that aspect.

Crowkettle

The melted marshmallow and chocolate make it a little oily looking, like how coconut tends to in tea, but it isn’t a scummy mess like Red Velvet Cake or Banana Bread.

Oh my … This tea was all that I had hoped for. It really is reminiscent of a campfire s’more. The marahallow and graham cracker with a hint of chocolate, this was truly the perfect blend. Could drink this everyday, already ordered more!

Sipdown! I’m trying to bring order to my tea stash (how did this happen?!) and trying to work my way through some of the smaller quantities. The school storm closure gave me an unexpected three-day weekend… and I LOVE organizing things! I think it’s a sickness… but in a good way.

But I will miss this tea. I picked it up on a lark in one of their Try-Me sets, and didn’t expect to enjoy it so much. It’s chocolately and creamy, and makes me want to drag someone out camping.

Maybe once order has been restored and chaos brought to bear then I will be able to order some more… but not now!

I’m sitting here with a cup of this and a cup of ‘Love In a Cup’ in front of me as I catch up on Once Upon a Time.

I wanted to compare the two side by side and see if I still like either of them, or both, or none.

This one seems to have less discernible flavour than LiaC, if you didn’t tell me what this was supposed to taste like, I’d never guess S’mores.

Not sure if it’s just a shift in the interests of my taste buds, but I’m sticking the remainder of this in my swap pile. Done! So long, S’mores. It’s been fun.

Lowering my previous rating from 81. Not my thang.

I love chocolate, so of course I would order this tea. I am actually being overwhelmed by tea! And my verdant and Butiki orders haven’t even arrived yet! Just my zen tea and Della terra orders have come so far.
Anyway, back to the tea. The marshmallow was probably the most prominent note followed by graham cracker and then a little hint of chocolate. I would have liked the chocolate to be more prevalent, but this is very enjoyable nonetheless.
