I have been drinking this tea (tisane) all week, so I decided to add it to the site. So first to review, yay! This is another win from Della Terra :)

I should first mention that as soon as I saw that this blend was made, I didn’t even bother with a sample – I added 2 oz to my cart immediately, as I love chamomile herbal blends. The bag I received is plum full of tea! It is stuffed with the stuff! I love it!

Dry, it is entirely chamomile flowers and lavender. As the description states haha. It smells like a perfect blend of the two as well, I get a bit stronger chamomile, but the lavender is still there, that slightly soapy floral scent.

I steeped it for around 5 minutes with boiling water. Wet, the lavender smell comes out a bit more. The liquor is a lovely light yellow color.

The taste is so soothing – mostly chamomile, but the lavender shows up in the aftertaste. I find that this tea is relaxing yet helps me focus as well, maybe because it’s so calming. I’m tempted to add a bit of honey one of these times just to see what it does to the flavor, but it is so good on its own that I haven’t yet haha.

Overall, I like this tea a lot. Bear in mind, I do enjoy herbal teas, so if you are not a fan of pure herbals, this probably isn’t the tea for you. However, it is an awesome caffeine-free tea for before bed. Also, this is the third tea I own with lavender in the ingredients. I guess I like lavender? Haha :) Due to personal taste, I am rating this tea pretty high.

ETA: The lavender becomes a bit more pronounced as the tea cools, I’m noticing the soapiness a bit more tonight. Might be because it steeped for 5 minutes, it doesn’t seem as noticeable at shorter steep times. Still really good though!

Had a cup of this with mom before bed, this tea is a hit for my whole family! Love it so much, I’m starting to like this tea even more, if that is possible.

Now, not really related to the tasting note, but tea related nonetheless..

Before I wander off to sleep, just had to make a quick update about other teas. So I gave my aunty and cousin matcha for Christmas today, and they were pleased with it! I gave them directions on how to brew it, so I hope they enjoy it! Made me feel good to give them something unique that they liked :) oh and my aunty served DavidsTea Cream of Earl Grey tonight with dinner! I would make a tasting note on it, but it wouldn’t be too accurate because I don’t know how much leaf she used and my cup was the last one of the pot, so it definitely was the most potent. It was pretty tasty though. So yay! Successful tea day all around! And introducing my family to matcha was pretty awesome!

More ppl need to try this tea! It’s in my travel mug today, holding up quite well too, altho I think I oversteeped by 2 mins. Still tasty, although I kind of wish I made a summery tea today, +7 C out today!! I almost wish winter wouldn’t tease like this, pretending to be spring, but I definitely won’t complain!

In my travel mug today! My stomach has been a bit blah today with cramps, and this is helping a lot! Also only steeped 5 mins and this is holding up well in the mug :) tgif! Hoping to get all my school done today and tomorrow so I can actually do something for my bday Saturday night. See previous notes on this tea :)

I’m alive again! Yesterday was very rough, whatever I had (flu or food poisoning) had me down all day in bed, achy and unable to move, plus upset stomach the night before. Blargh. Also couldn’t eat until the evening. But that’s over at least, and I am slowly regaining my appetite and getting back to having teas. This is soothing and not too harsh today, perfect for recovering from stomach sickness.

Merry Christmas! So I found a tea my dad likes, Yay! This one :) he added a ton of honey, but it made it really quite tasty actually! Ooh and i got a brewt steeper today as a gift! So I had to try it out tonight with this, I love it! I’ve seen them used at davidstea, and i can’t wait to make iced tea with it!

Oh and I don’t know if I mentioned, a few days ago I got my present from the boy, a breville variable temp :D i should have brought it to my parents over Christmas but i thought it’d take up too much space, love it too tho! Especially the hold temp :)

So I hope everyone had a spectacular, tea filled Christmas with family and friends!

Mmm this is my tea of tonight, made a cup for myself and my dad, as I let him smell mine and he said it smelled good! Hopefully he likes the taste!

The scent of this tea could be used for aromatherapy, if nothing else. Smelling it makes me drowsy. The lavender is strong in scent but subtle in the flavor. Make sure you strain this carefully, I got a LOT of little bits doing it not in a tea infuser. Still delicious and it knocked me right out for the night. Well made and drinkable. Highly recommend it for insomniacs like myself.
