Ok bit of backlogging time. So maybe I will stop thinking about going to grad school OH GOD WHY I JUST WANT TO NOT GO TO SCHOOL BUT I SHOULD—err. (not even going to get into the part where I don’t even know which of my two options I’d go with. NOT both again.)

I had this on Sunday night and it was a fantastic tea dessert. I’ve not tried lime chiffon yet, but I had just had lemon chiffon a week prior to this and didn’t really think it tasted like a blend of both. I don’t really pick up on the cream strongly like I do in this one.

This has both lemon and lime for sure, like I can actually taste each one distinctly…unlike a lot of other things touted as lemon-lime where it’s just some vague citrus flavor.

This is definitely pretty sweet by itself too, I think it’d make a pretty interesting latte, maybe an iced one would be in order too.

To be perfectly honest, I’m not entirely sure that this is much different from Lime Chiffon. In fact, I’m wondering if it’s a mixture of lemon and lime chiffon (I was wondering that before purchasing it as well). Either way, that means that it’s gently citrusy and creamy and quite delicious! My second cup will have to be alongside some Lemon/Lime Chiffon so I can see what the differences are, if any.

Quick last cup of the night before going to bed and waking up early tomorrow to catch a flight down to Southern California! Cavocorax provided me a two cups worth sample and this is the last of it. I couldn’t step out the door later this afternoon without finishing my first cup; didn’t want to waste a drop.

I don’t know if I like this more than the Lemon or Lime Chiffon but one of these three is going to make my permanent stock list. The citrus here is more creamy tart than fruity, and it’s as satisfying as any late night dessert. I can’t taste the rooibos that much, either. Thanks for all the cake, Cavocorax!

Side note: Does anyone know of any good tea places in Palm Springs/Palm Desert area?

I’m finally getting the chance to sit down and review this! I’ve already had a cup last week and gave one to my friend (who loved it btw). So now I need to write about it too!

The dry smell is sooo delicious. The lemon-lime tart is definitely identifiable, with the creaminess and citrus goodness. Steeped for around 4 minutes, although I know it could handle longer. The steeped smell retains the cream tart image, just a bit fainter.

Boy, is this ever good! I seem to recall my first cup having a bit more of that bitter lime peel tartness, but this one is very very smooth and creamy, a lot more vanilla and more lemon. In fact, this cup is predominantly lemony, hmm it’s like a more tangy Lemon Chiffon, the lime is still there a bit in the flavor too though, that key lime pie from Lime Chiffon is here too!

Overall, this is a really good combination of the lemon and lime chiffons. The extra vanilla really adds to the creamy aftertaste, and I think it might also be the honeybush that makes for a more cake-like addition, as I just checked out all three rooibos’ ingredients and this one and lemon have honeybush, while the lime has only rooibos. Anyways, I’m getting too technical, this is delicious. Still don’t know my favorite, darn it, but since this one combines the two other favorites, it might take the first place spot. Ah, they’re all good. Thank you Della Terra for another delicious caffeine free tea!

So I had lots of tea today, a few epic ones, but I just am tired and didn’t log..maybe tomorrow haha. Anyways this is my bedtime cuppa, as I continue to do my homework lol, hopefully it will make me sleepy afterwards. See previous notes :)

Sipdown! The last little bit of this is going out in a swap! I’m not entirely sure how different this is from lime chiffon. I think I prefer more of the lime chiffon because its a bit more tart than this one. Ill need to do a taste test between the lime and the lemon chiffon but I think I lean slightly more towards the lemon chiffon. What I like most about these is that the chiffons from della terra all steep well forever and you never get that rooibos taste.

I can taste both lime, lemon, and cream here. That is pretty awesome. I definitely thought the lime and lemon would become one and be either lime OR lemon.

This is again so similar to Lemon and Lime Chiffon. Delicious! I actually think I need to make all three, line them up, and take a sip from each one right after each other to determine which will get to stay in my cupboard. Gah.

Update March 25/13: I’m sure some caffeine would do me good this morning but this one just smells so delectable I couldn’t resist. Maybe I won’t choose between the three and just keep them all on hand, all the time. That wouldn’t be so bad, right?

Ozli sent me this as a surprise tea package! Surprise tea packages are sort of the best, even if it knocked my tea count up to 115 (after a few silent sipdowns). :P

I only had a sample of this one so I was really happy to get more. OH MAN. This is so great. I’m not sure if I like this more than the lime one, but with DTT’s constant sales I don’t know that I should ever have to choose.

Ending what has been a very long day with this tea. No matter what I do I can’t seem to get caught up with my school work. Since there’s only 3 1/2 weeks left of classes, I’m just going to assume that it’s not slowing down and I just need to speed up and somehow get more studying done. Blah. With the sunny weather outside I just want to sit in the sunshine and sip tea.

The dry leaves for this Lemon Lime Cream Tart smell of creamy lemon and lime. I was surprised a the creaminess just from the aroma, it’s almost a little sour/tart too, probably from the citrus notes. The tea itself has a sweet and tart lemon lime aroma. There’s a sweet, citrusy flavor with a tart lemony finish. I am definitely tasting more of the lemon than lime in the flavor, but I think the tartness is from the lime. There is a pretty strong rooibos and honeybush aftertaste with a hint of tart citrus that I’m not crazy about. Adding milk and sweetener does tone down the rooibos aftertaste, but it is still there. I wish this had just a tiny bit more cream added into the flavor. I am excited to compare this to the Lime Chiffon that just came in my order. Thank you, whatshesaid for this sample!!

-Dry blend has fine rooibos and honeybush with long pieces of lemongrass, pieces of dried fruit peel and small blue petals.
-Dry leaves smell like creamy lemon and lime. Tea liquor aroma is of sweet and tart lemon and lime.
-Tea liquor is a clear medium reddish orange color.
-Sweet citrusy flavor with a tart lemony finish. Strong rooibos and honeybush aftertaste with a hint of tart citrus.
-Best with milk and sweetener.
-Very good tea. A creamy, tart and citrusy cup. Becomes smooth and mellow with milk and sweetener. Small rooibos and honeybush aftertaste.

This is quite delicious! I am so impressed with the rooibos teas I’ve tried from Della Terra, it makes up for the fact that I have been somewhat disappointed by their blacks. Yum.

I still think my favorite is Lime Chiffon, but this is a really tasty blend of both the lemon and the lime flavors. I had the first two cups without anything added, and for the third infusion I poured in a bit of almond milk. Mmmm, so creamy and wonderful. I will definitely enjoy the rest of this bag, and will probably order more of these in the future.

I’m still struggling to decide which of these lime / lemon rooibos I prefer, so I ordered more of all of them. Down to the end of the bag on all three.

I had this last night, and GAH. It is so good! I do enjoy the tartness of the lime with the sweetness of the lemon, it’s a nice mix of both. And I am always amazed whenever I have one of these three at how much they don’t taste like rooibos. WIN.

At the end of the day, I wish I would have gotten the Lemon Chiffon instead because I find lime in teas is just a bit too tart for me! That said, this is delicious. Tart but tasty, balances off the rooibos well.

If anyone wants to swap this for some Lemon Chiffon, let me know! :)

I bought 2oz of this tea, I figured it be good!

I was totally right! I’ve had Lemon Chiffon before, which is amazing, and this one has that lemon drop yummyness, but also with a little bit of bitter lime flavor thrown in. Very creamy of a tea. No funky rooibos taste. The dry leaf smell of this tea is out of this world!

I figured I will try to have this or Lemon Chiffon always in stock. I really need to snag some Lime Chiffon too!

What the heck? Sip down? I didn’t know I only had one serving left.
/sad owl

now I need to do a Della Terra order soon, as I only got a little Lemon Chiffon left after this.

Anyways, I got hit in the nose in jiujitsu. I’m okay, though my nose just feels weird, not in pain or bruised. I’m consoling myself with this tasty creamy tea, iced, with sweet lemons. The other good thing was I got the guy back, he didn’t expect some girl to shoulder lock him, muhhahahaha!

Darn cold! This tea tastes bland and I know it’s not bland! This tea is freaking delicious creamy lemony and bit of lime tastyness!
I even added a couple lemon slices and some honey too! Though, bland is better than bitter – which happened last time I got sick and it got to my sinuses.

Not the most tasteful joke, but it’s my husband and he’s that kind of guy. I was complaining about my sense of taste being out from being sick and he said, “As long as you don’t make your tea with 100 bags”. Uggggg!

Time to save my good teas and switch to lemon, ginger, honey, cayenne brews until I’m better.

Thanks to whatshesaid for this sample. I am very grateful that I get to try this one because of all the great reviews even though I should technically not be drinking it at all because honeybush gives me horrible headaches and nausea but I just had to try it anyway. I’ll regret it later, but that’s later and now is now.

This is super citrusy, mostly lime to my tastebuds and definitely creamy. It’s a very mellow and sweet flavour and I am once again very impressed by Della Terra’s ability to make an actual dessert into tea. There is a smoothness to this that is very nice. This was very nice to try but I’m pretty much absolutely certain I will never drink this again.

Oooohh my goodness gracious this tea smells amazing. It’s so tart and dessert like. The flavor isn’t as strong as I thought it was going to be. There is a nice citrus taste and the cream is a lovely touch. It really does taste like a liquid cream tart. I’m happy it’s a rooibos base. It just works really well.

I really wanted to try lemon chiffon and then lime chiffon (which cavocorax sent me some of and is AMAZING) so I thought – best of both worlds and bought this! But lime chiffon is better, jsyk. I have regrets. Not a LOT of regrets because this is super good and so creamy yum, but still. Regrets. Last night’s bedtime tea. Sipped this morning and pretty good cold, too!

200th note! Oversteeped this by a LOT (I wandered off again…) and it’s perfect this way. YUM. It’s regrettably uncaffeinated, but what can you do.

This tea smells really good. It seems a little less flavourful than the chiffon teas. There a bit of a sweet, creamy citrus taste.

This one isn’t bad either, though I prefer Lemon Chiffon. It needs milk and sugar to bring out the lime flavor.

This is very similar to Lemon Chiffon, but just a tiny bit more tart (from the lime, I assume.) The blend is pretty much exactly as described: you can taste the lemon, the lime, and the cream. It’s very, very good, but I think I like the Chiffon just a little bit more, as it tasted sweeter to me.

I sooooo like this tea! It’s really does taste like a lemon lime cream tart. The taste overall is strong and balanced.
