From DeRen Tea

Harvest Year: 2010

Season: Spring

Source: Mt. Wuyi, Fujian province, China

Grade: Premium

Product #: 10dhp01

This Da Hong Pao is recommended to us by a friend in the tea business in China. We were then introduced to the tea farmer, Mr. Gao, who harvested this tea. He said he made this tea for himself and crafted it for his personal taste. We tried the tea and found it exceptional, with strong yan (rock) character. Production for this tea is limited because Mr. Gao is only willing to make us a few kilo each time he makes his own supply. Therefore we don’t have free sample for this tea.

This tea has strong Yan Cha (Rock tea) character. Slow roasted on charcoal stove, the tea also has the characteristic charcoal roasted aroma. The liquor is smooth and full bodied in the mouth. Once swallowed, its aroma and taste linger in the mouth. After steeping this tea 5-6 times gongfu style, the liquor gradually change character and yields sweet silky liquor.
