Premium Earl Grey
Earl Grey tea is a tea blend with a distinctive flavour and aroma derived from the addition of oil extracted from the rind of the bergamot orange, a fragrant citrus fruit. Bergamot is a small acidic orange. The latest research indicates that the Bergamot orange is a cross between the sweet or pear lemon (Citrus Limetta) and the Seville or sour orange (Citrus Aurantium). The sour orange is native to southern Vietnam, hence the Chinese connection. Our Earl Grey starts with a great quality, large leaf, sweet black tea from China. We add just a hint of pure bergamot oil to create the famous Earl Grey taste.
The premium grade earl grey is made with higher grade leaves with more bergamot.
