From Drink T

In the high slopes of the Andes Mountains where they meet the Amazon Basin is a region of sub Andean valleys called Yungas. The unique soil of the high altitude rain forest covered mountains, where the cool air from the snow capped mountains combine with the warm moist air from the Amazon, is ideal to cultivate superior quality tea. This black tea has an original flavor unlike traditional black teas from India and Sri Lanka. Large jet-black organic tea leaves yield an exquisite bright amber cup with a garden fresh aroma that is full-bodied and has a tantalizing apricot peach after taste

This is wonderful. Lovely fruit notes! Pleasantly sweet but not overwhelmingly so. Smooth and delightful.

A deep flavor, I can even taste some chocolate-y (cocoa-like, not candy bar-ish) notes.

An extremely pleasant tea, indeed.

Backlogging from last week and I doubled it and it was nice and hearty!

The last of the samples LiberTEA’s sent me and I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to try things I otherwise never would have so again, Thanks Heaps!

And what a tea to end with .. This one really surprised me as it’s a twiggy looking mix, almost half was twigs actually and the other large pieces of torn leaf .. I also couldn’t pick up much aroma from either the dried leaves or the brewed liquid so really wasn’t expecting much when I took that first sip but Wow! For an unflavoured black this tastes extraordinarily like chocolate malt, has a medium bodied mouth-feel and is oh so smooooth .. Mmm, I think I’m going to have to look into getting some more of this and check out the rest of their range ..

Mother told me not to play with my food, but never mentioned tea: http://i52.tinypic.com/245mwee.jpg
