Cherry Rose Kyoto Sencha

Green Herbal Blend by EnjoyingTea.com

Cherry Rose Kyoto Sencha is a blend of Sencha green tea with rose petals and cherry flavoring. For this tea we only used Sencha grown between March and April for the optimize taste and quality. After harvest, this green tea is processed and pan fired. When brewed it yields a pale yellow infusion with a fresh and smooth taste. The cherry flavoring and subtle rose hints give the tea a wonderful exotic character.

Not sure why I never reviewed this earlier. I’m a fan…It was one of my 1st samples from enjoyingtea that I had to get a larger bag. Nice warm and even nice as an iced tea…(I add sugar and some citric acid)
It’s very aromatic. The dried leaves look so nice and green, very vibrant with rose petals.
The green tea flavor is there, but the cherry shines and the rose comes right after. It’s not an “everyday” tea for me, because it’s fairly powerful, but definitely something I like having around.
I’ve had it iced many times in the Summer and it really took over from my Snapple budget ;)

Brewed this is very cherry scented.

It’s flavor isn’t very robust at all. Nothing like the Sakura Sencha from Den’s that I just had a bit earlier today.

It’s very light with no bitterness. It has a not-overwhelming cherry flavor to it and a bit of what I guess is the rose (I’m not good at recognizing that taste yet, no real experience with it so far). Basically, it tastes like a middle of the road cherry green tea. Nothing special or catching about it.
