From EnjoyingTea.com

TBI02A – The Mim Darjeeling black tea is a top grade 2nd flush estate tea grown at 6800 feet above sea level in the Darjeeling area of Northern India. This tea is classified as TGFOP1 (Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe – grade #1). When brewed this tea produces a bright reddish color liquid with a distinctive muscatel character. The fragrance and taste will reach right out of the cup. Some would describe the taste as nutty; others find it reminds them of black currants, but most often it is described as similar to the taste and fragrance of muscat grapes.

Tea #26 from Another Traveling Tea Box

I wish there was more grapey, winey goodness that was promised in the description. It’s lightly floral, lightly grapey and kind of lightly there. I like the qualities it has, it just comes up a little underwhelming in them. I need more OOOMPH. It does leave a really clean feeling in my mouth, though.

This was a starter tea for me. It is a nice basic Darjeeling but without any of the subtlety that higher quality teas provide. It can be soft and delicate, with a slightly green character, but often is excessively tannic.

I’m not an expert at this point, disclaimer.

The aroma was more pungent than I expected. The taste was less forward and I definitely got the nuttiness that is described. Would drink again, but doesn’t stand out to me.

Brewed same as 1st cup, but imbibed without milk. Its luscious fruit and flower notes made the perfect accompaniment to some dark chocolate :D
